𝐈𝐓'𝐒  𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄  𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍  𝐈𝐓  𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃  𝐁𝐄  𝐁𝐘  𝐍𝐎𝐖.    between  the  subtle  flirting  and  the  ease  with  which  she  finds  herself  able  to  be  vulnerable  with  him...    it  was  only  a  matter  of  time  before  they  wound  up  here.    perhaps  the  only    surprising    thing  about  it  is  how    suddenly    their  dynamic  had  shifted.    despite  it  all,    penny  her  heart  racing  with    joy    as  opposed  to    fear,    a  feeling  she's  done  running  from.    there's  no  wiping  the  grin  off  her  face  when  she  finally  breaks  a  heated  make-out  session  to    breathe    again,    nuzzling  a  few  pecks  along  stephen's  bearded  jaw.

❝  you  smell  like  watermelon,  ❞    penny  giggles,    pressing  her  nose  affectionately  into  his  cheek.    for  fifty-three  dollars,    she'd  damn  well    hope    the  new  face  mask  she  bought  for  their  spa  night  would  leave them smelling  good.    a  contented  sigh  follows  her  comment  as  she  relaxes  in  the  doctor's  embrace.    someday,    she  hopes,    they'll  get  to  spend    every    night  like  this.    ❝  did  i  tell  you  i  put  in  my  transfer  request  at  work?  ❞    she  speaks  up  suddenly,    fingers  tracing  idly  along  his  bicep  curled  around  her.

she'd  told  him  of  her  plans  for  the  rest  of  her  life,    to  settle  down  and  step  away  from  the  chaos  and  unpredictability  that  comes  with  being  a  field  agent---    she'd  brought  it  up    before    all  of    this,    however.    when  the  plan  didn't  involve  stephen  in  any  sort  of    romantic    capacity.    even  now,    though,    her  plan  hasn't  changed.    gaze  lifts  once  more  to  meet  his  eyes,    fingertips  coming  up  to  brush  gently  through  his  beard.    ❝  i'm  still  gonna  settle  down,    y'know...    figure  out  the  rest  of  my  life,    sell  the  house  in  louisville,    adopt  a  kid...    if  you  wanna  be  a  part  of  that,    then  i  want  you  to  be,    too...    what  do  you  think?  ❞

                    RAIN.               The     first      cue      of      life      within      the      human      dimension ,      matter         that      now       rolls       freely     down      her      pale      face       &       wets       her       snow-white       hair.      A      finger      removes      a      drop      from      her      skin,      as      her      emerald      eyes      inspect      the      substance.      Water,      falling      from      the      limits      of      this      realm.      Truly      intriguing.      But      certainly      not      the      first      one     of      her      concerns.    Her      eyes      were      yet      holding      the      tension      of      the      moments      before      getting      to       Earth,      her      last      glance      of      the      Dark      Dimension,      and      Dread      Dormammu      vowing      he      would      find      her,      &      take      away      her      life.      Life.      Something      the      realm      she      jumped      in      was      full      off.      The       silver       haired       woman      hadn´t      been      there      more      than      a      few      minutes      by      now,      but  .   .   .  humanity´s      grace      had      captivated      the      sorceress,      and      wished      nothing      but      to      protect      it. The       faltinian       princess      wouldn´t      be      able      to      if      she      wanted,      though,      not      now.      Not      without      proper      knowledge.      Training.   Clea      ignored      the      exact      location      of      where      she      found      herself      now.      Her      senses      teleported      her      away      from      danger      while      fighting      the      dark      ruler,       but      they      had      taken      her      to      the      right      place.      One      full      of      charm      &      magic,      invisible      to      the      mortal       eye,      but      tangible      for      those      mystic      beings.      Like      her.

As      a      ghost      would,      she      enters      the      ancient      building      in      the      form      of      a      graceful      silhouette,      a      being       of       energy,      and      takes      the      form      of      an      ordinary      woman  -  Except      for      the      striking      beauty      she      held  -       And      stood      in      the      middle      of      a      room      surrounded      by      relics      &      scent      of      tea.      She      takes      her      time      to      observe,      careful      to      make      herself      invisible      to      the      eyes      of      any      human,      not      wishing      to      disturb      them      so      soon      &      less      considering      her      deadly      origins.      However   .   .    .    such      concern      came      too      late,      for      someone      was      already      seeing      her      from      afar.

Eyes      meet      with      the      ones      of      a      tall,      palpably      powerful      individual.      Piercing      gaze,      dark      hair      with      grey      at      the      temples,      adorned      with      a      scarlett      cloak       &       mystical       attire.      Her      frame     turns      a      little      rigid      at      the      feeling      of      his      powerful      self.      Though,      he       had       allured       her       in       some       way;       &      he     seemed      to      have      felt      her       power      as       well.                   “      Whoever       you       are,       gentleman.     I      must       assure       you       before       hand       that  . . .    I     am      no      enemy.    ”       the      faltine      speaks,      keeping      truth      in      her      gaze,       as       she       shortens       the       distance       between       them.        “   My      name      is      Clea,      and      I      come      from      the      Dark      Dimension.    ”                                                               ۞

𝐒𝐇𝐄  𝐇𝐀𝐒  𝐍𝐎𝐓  𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓  𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇  𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄  𝐎𝐍  𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐃  𝐈𝐍  𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘  𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒  𝐎𝐅  𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄.    but  the  last  time  she  was  here?    she  was  quite  sure  there  were  no...    wizards    that  she  knew  of.    but  then,    times  have  changed,    especially    in  the  five  years  she  was  gone.    and  though  it  comes  as  a  shock,    midgard  is  her    home    now,    which  means  she  will  accept  as  many  allyships  as  she  can  to  protect  it.

but  with  allyships  come  terms  and  agreements.    not  only  is  she  sworn  to  protect  new  asgard,    but  having  been  gifted  her  brother's  sight,    she  is  now  sworn  to  protect  the  nine---    eight    realms  as  a  whole.    and  while  things  seem...    peaceful    for  now,    at  least  midgard  has  help  in  the  event  of  any  threats.    that's  where    STRANGE    comes  in.    so,    the  all-seeing  sif  sits  across  from  the  sorcerer,    hofund    sheathed  and  propped  up  against  the  arm  of  her  chair---    she  does  not  let  the  sword  leave  her  side,    even  in  the  safest  of  environments.

❝  so,    doctor  strange...    you  are  sworn  to  protect...    earth.  ❞    it's  an  obvious  statement,    said  aloud  to  better  help  her  understand  the  terms  of  his  situation.    ❝  as  am  i.    but  as  a  newcomer  on  this  realm,    i  do  not  wish  to...    overstep.  ❞    midgard  has  done  well  for  itself,    despite  everything,    and  she  knows  how  the  mortals  tend  to  feel  toward  intruders.    at  this  point,    sif's  main  priority  is  to  ensure  the  safety  of  her  people,    and  the  realm.    ❝  however,    if  a  threat  arises,    i  cannot  sit  idly  by.    we  will  have  to  work  together.  ❞

       “       a       movie?       ”       Hel       didn´t       consider       herself       ignorant,       but       man,       she       had       never       seen       one       in       her       whole       life.       She       wasn´t       even       sure       of       what       it       even       was.       Stephen       seemed       to       be       very      fond       of       music,       books,       and       other       ways       of       enterteiment       he       now       was       sharing       with       her.

A       deep       sigh       escapes       her       lips       as       she       observes       the       sorcerer       placing       that       odd       silver       platter       inside       .   .   .       whatever       it       was.

She       sits       on       the       sanctum´s       couch,       waiting       for       him.       The       goddess       playfully       grabs       his       robes       and       pulls       him       towards       her       once       he´s       finished,       smirking.

       “       Now,       sorcerer       dearest,       what       are       you       going       to       give       me       if       this       does       not       IMPRESS       ME?       ”  teases.       A       movie       could       not       impress       her,       could       it?

𝐒𝐇𝐄'𝐒  𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄  𝐀  𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆  𝐖𝐀𝐘  𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑  𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓  𝐒𝐏𝐀  𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓.    it  feels  like    years    ago...    well,    it    was    years  ago,    technically  speaking,    if  only  a  couple.    it  just  feels  like  longer  than  that...    it  was  a  different  time  then.    penny  looks  back  on  it  and  almost  can't  believe  there  was  a  time  where  she  was  so...    HAPPY.    she  wishes  she  could  have  known  then  that  that  happiness  wouldn't  stick  around  forever.    at  least  she  hopes  tonight  she  might  be  able  to  feel  some    semblance    of  what  life  was  like  before  all  of  this  happened.

she  picks  idly  at  her  nails  as  stephen  sets  up  the  living  room,    face  masks  and  nail  polish  set  on  the  coffee  table  along  with  some  fruit  and  veggie  trays.    they  sit  on  the  floor,    just  like  old  times,    but  instead  of  reality  shows  playing  on  the  television,    penny  opts  for  some  old  vinyl  records  instead---    she's  been  keen  on  stevie  nicks  lately.    it  must  be  a  nice  break  for  stephen  from  the  dolly  parton  records  she  had  spent    weeks    listening  to  non-stop.    and  once  everything  is  set  up,    she  starts  looking  through  the  collection  of  face  masks,    brows  knit  decisively.

❝  did  wong  help  you  pick  these  out?  ❞    she's  still  not  big  on  casual  conversation,    but  she's    trying.    choosing  a  pink  package,    she  examines  it,    tears  it  open  enough  to  smell  the  clay  mask’s  rosy  fragrance.    tugging  a  mirror  closer  to  her  side  of  the  table,    she  squeezes  some  onto  her  finger,    spreading  the  clay  under  her  eyes.    ❝  this  one's  nice.  ❞
