We haven’t travelled far from the cabin today… We haven’t needed to… There are lots of natural wonders on our doorstep. In fact there seem to be some every way we turn in Iceland! We had another early start. I can’t blame feeling poorly any more so it must just be insomnia or excitement about what the day has in store. Day 2: Dwarf Cliffs in Dverghamrar - iceland
“Dwarf Cliffs” are peculiar twin columnar basalt cliffs forming a horseshoe shape in Austur-Síða, just east of the farm Foss down from the Ring Road. The Dverghamrar landscape was formed by wave action when the sea level was higher at the end of the Ice Age. (plan iceland)
