ive wanted to make one of these for a while I just never got around to it so erm Yay! sorry some of the writing is bad im vererey tired I hope u get what I mean….

Because their hearts are in their head, shrimp tails wag when their heartbeat is fast.

This means wagging doesnt really represent any one emotion, but usully just intense emotions! (bad wording; ie. shrimp tails wagging means they’re experiencing intense emotions rather than pointing to any specific emotion)

How high up they hold their tail is a much better indicator :)

norm / suprised (surprised; I mispelled) / sleepy / sad / scared

The tail wagging can emphasize the emotion the position shows!

For Shrimpo specifically, since he was basically made to be angry all the time, her emotions are very intense and so bite’s tail would wag lot. Now, though, she’s gotten better at hiding bite’s emotions.

Finally changed my Shelly design cuz it was lowk ugly...

When dw was around (1980- 2001 I'm pretty sure correct me if I'm wrong) most scientists went with the idea that they looked more reptilian, unlike the more modern theory of them being more bird like, so Shelly would probably look more like the dinosaurs we are used to seeing BUT I hc that Delilah uses a real piece of the object/animal each toon is based off of to make the toons, and in doing so Shelly came out unexpectedly feathery... no this isn't an excuse to make Shelly fluffy idk what you're talking about...
