Imayoshi x Chikara for the parent AU! thing
PARENT AU! SEND ME A SHIP AND I’LL ANSWER WHAT THEY WOULD DO AS PARENTS
Who cried when they brought their child home for the first time:I think the emotions would have silently gotten to Imayoshi more than Chikara, not enough to actually make him full on cry, but enough to maybe get his nose tingling slightly and his eyes to get slightly wet. No tears that day but lots of emotion. He’d have probs just held Chikara hand tighter than usual that day.Who would wake up in the middle of the night to check on the kid(s):I’d say this would be Chikara. He’d probs just wake up due to some random reason and then check up on their kid just to make sure they were sleeping perfectly. Then he’d maybe grab a small bite to eat and then get back into bed not long after. He’d usually just fall asleep by the baby’s bedside and then be woken up by either the kid making noises while awake, or Imayoshi gently telling him to get back to bed in the morning. Who changes the kid(s) diapers:They switch roles. Whoever doesn’t do diapers has to do laundry and vice-versa. This keeps them both easy to handle and also allows for them to have a day out where they dno’t have to clean the baby’s filthy excrement. Still, it’s a learning experience and lots of fun to see Chikara being all childish and nervous about it the first time he does it.Who makes the bottles:Imayoshi. He’s just a lot better at temperature control than Chikara, and he gets it done a lot quicker too, often to Chikara’s annoyance ‘cus he always ends up complaining that the milk should heat up just the same amount ‘cus nothing really changes in the method.Who stays up late at night to rock the kid(s) to sleep and sing them lullabys:Chikara would. He likes to play around with the kid before he actually goes to bed so he’d often just be sat beside their little bed and messing with their stomach or letting them play with his giant hands. IT’d end when Ima tells him it’s getting too late and he needs to sleep so he’d do his best to sing a lullaby for the both of the crazies that he loves though he’d probs fall asleep himself as he sang along xDWho is guilty of spoiling the kid(s):They both spoil them, but Imayoshi does it more than Chikara. Imayoshi is the definite go to parent when their kid wants something, and they know it. Chikara generally tries to be as strict as he can so they dun get too comfortable with what they get and want, but Ima would totes just buy them stuff and then just smile or laugh it off as Chikara just mumbles and grumbles about hos he has to take care of two kids instead of one.Who would give the kid(s) cookies in the middle of the night:Chikara. Imayoshi sleeps rather easily and doesn’t generally wake up so Chikara’s mostly awake at night. It’s often when their kid can’t sleep, or they’ve had a nightmare that Chikara gives them cookies at such a late time in the night, but he likes to ease them and just holds them while moving around in the main room patting their back until they fall asleep.Who always takes the kid(s) side:Chikara. He’d be a total idiot and be a dork with the kid. Like, he’d put his head next to their kid’s and make the exact same face before saying something like “how could you not like a face as cute as this one?” It’ be all fun and games and Chikara and Ima would totes have some quality time together afterwards where Ima shows him just how ‘cute’ his face can be ;_;Who would wake up early to make breakfast for the kid(s) before school:Imayoshi generally wakes up really early ‘cus he has work early so he needs to be up. He’d get the morning things done and often get Chikara ready too ‘cus Chikara’s totally out of it after just waking up. He’d make sure to get his kid to give him a kiss goodbye and also to the sleeping baby in their bedroom. It’s like a tradition of theirs for their kid to actually give them kisses when they go to school and whatnot.Who gets the kid(s) ready for school in the morning:Imayoshi again, he’s just up early so he takes care of everything. Who takes the kid(s) to school:Imayoshi. His work is generally very early so he gets time to walk their kid to school before going to work himself. It’s always nice to walk with your child and have heart-to-heart talks with them as well as maybe let them have some fun along the way. Who goes to parent teacher conferences:They would both do their best to attend, but with Chikara going pro in baseball and Imayoshi being a doctor, it’d be hard for either to attend. When they can attend it’s always a fun experience for people to see two hella attractive guys together like that. Especially the kids that love baseball, seeing Chikara is like a dream to some and they no doubt feel envious of the kid that is lucky enough to have such perf parents xDWho will be the first to suggest to have ‘the talk’ with the kid(s):Imayoshi, being a doctor, he’d definitely suggest it. Chikara would totes make him talk about it ‘cus yo he’s the science guy that knows about that stuff. Chikara fails at explanations like that anyhow.Who would choose their child(s) prom outfit:Chikara. He thinks he has much better fashion sense than Imayoshi and so he’d definitely make sure to have their kid stand out with the best prom outfit ever. Though, their kid wouldn’t even pick his and would opt for something more casual and less flashy.Who would cry when the kid(s) go off to college:Neither would really cry, instead they’d wave off their kid to college after taking them there. It’d be a real moment for them however and lots of unsaid things and emotions will flourish. The real impact would hit when the two would get home and finlly realise just how empty it seems without their no so little kid now. I think after a bit, both of them would have a small cry but slowly get used to life as just the two of them for a while.
