and so the story begins || vanessa & willow
She had to admit, her days had become boring after her classes, and deathfully so. Nothing interesting ever happened here, without it being her doing, and when it was her doing, it was usually short lived. Seriously, this university was killing her.
For a little bit of time spent in search of entertainment, Vanessa found a few things.
One, that she shouldn’t have even bothered looking for Flynn. I mean come on, his mutation literally aids in his ability to stay hidden.
Two, her musical ability hadn’t been lost, even after a few months of not doing much with it. Ever since she was a little girl, she had always been musically inclined- specifically, to the piano. Vanessa never received lessons, but there was a beautiful piano in the church near her house, and on nights her parents were fighting and later, on nights when she could hear her mother and the men she brought into their home to replace her missing father, the young girl would sneak out to the church, sit at the piano and create beautiful melodies and moving rifts, despite not even being able to name a single key, to this day.
And three. That of course, in the hallway of the creative wing on the way to the vacant music room, she’d pass by the art room, inside being the one, the only, Willow Wisps. A vague memory of Willow and her passion for art was fleeting in Vanessa’s mind. But it was there momentarily.
But alas, she never saw Willow as someone worth wasting her time on, so Vanessa paused in the doorway, noticing the blonde deep in her artwork, doing whatever she was doing, before continuing to the room two doors down, sitting at the sleek grand piano, closing her eyes and allowing her fingers to fly, an enchanting melody filling the room, dipping quickly from one minor scale to the next.
