Most Fashionable People at Darien High School: Dylan Gabriel - Bettina Arkhurst
If you’re ever walking through the hallway and see a student that looks so good that you have to stop, stare, and end up drooling a bit, Dylan Gabriel has probably just passed by you.
This fun and spontaneous “theatre geek”, as he puts it, has so much style that he is off the meter.
“People tell me that I dress like Louis Tomlinson a lot,” says Dylan.
How does Dylan choose what to wear?
He looks within…his closet: “anything from an H&M catalog and you basically get my wardrobe,” he said.
To him, what one wears can enhance his or her character. "The way someone dresses is an indicator of themselves, so I like to dress the best I can and represent myself through my clothing choices.”
Dylan also simply likes looking good: “it's nice to feel like you are the best dressed in the room, not gonna lie.”
But Dylan’s life does not solely revolve around fashion, because Dylan is quite active in the DHS community. Not only is he the secretary of Theatre 308, he is a Tudor singer, a member of Tri-M and the president of the Teen Advisory Board at the public library.
Dylan is honored to be a student chosen as one of the most fashionable students for DART’s first magazine. Now he has a constant pressure on him to look good. “Well it puts a bit of pressure on me to always look flawless!” And that it should Dylan, that it should.
