Midnight Moon Books & Brew
Midnight Moon is an occult bookstore and coffee shop owned and managed by Lachlan’s son, Dylan, as a front for the family’s genuine business that caters exclusively to non-humans, as the store itself just looks like any other mortal new-age/oddities-themed store.
Dylan lives in the apartment above, though the apartment is not technically part of the human world, nor is it fully in the fae realm. It sits in the space between, and Dylan keeps an active portal to the fae Otherworld on the premises so that he, his family and any others known to them can use it to come and go between worlds as they please.
The shop also exists as a sort of portal in a similar way to Howl’s moving castle in that it can be accessed from multiple locations. Of course, this is not noticed in any way by human customers, but non-humans will usually recognise it for what it is because the place has so many spells and charms on it to keep it off the radar of hunters.
