what are jadis' feelings on vaemond
jadis thinks very highly of her husband, vaemond. while she’s aware of his stubbornness and old fashioned ways, she still genuinely loves him for who he is. their marriage was not an immediate thing, as jadis was intended to wed a targaryen. however, she was publicly rejected by both viserys and daemon. she was ridiculed as a result, her image being tainted by foul rumors of why neither targaryen brother chose to wed her. luckily for her, all of that drama led her to vaemond, who at the time was in search of a bride himself. their marriage was not out of love initially but they did grow to love each other and had a healthy relationship. alongside their son, they vouched for driftmark to remain with its true velaryon heirs, which ultimately led to the incident of vaemond’s death. this only leads for jadis to resent viserys and daemon even more. nevertheless, she joins the blacks by default out of precautions for her son’s well-being. all the while, she plots justice for her husband’s murder. i think it’s safe to say that vaemond was the love of jadis’ life. 🥺
