how'd you come up with the name "drawkill"
i saw the words together on the internets when i was a teeny and was like DAT ME!
Hi there. I've been following your blog for a while, you've probably seen me around a little bit. I wanted to get your advice on how to create more visually interesting costumes. I gather references and make a bunch of designs based on them but they all just feel too generic. I'd love your input if you take the time to answer this. Thanks.
A good exercise would be to start a design as a simple series of shapes. This is probably best done with silhouettes, so start as simple as possible and then build up the details using different values and such. Try to start off with as few shapes as possible defining the design (don’t use more than four)
you could also try to create designs based on things that aren’t clothing, like bugs, leaves, bread, mushrooms etc.
