[ RELEASE ] NINEBANG (나인뱅) - ECLIPSE
Following his record-breaking debut and classy subunit with eSPIRIT’s Faust, many eyes have long since been on NINEBANG in anticipation for his next project. “Eclipse” is the vocalist’s second mini album, consisting of 7 tracks, two of which feature other artists -- Adelie of Sonhwa’s upcoming girl group, Sakhmet, and Ulli of NINEBANG’s former group, GEMINI. Despite the few features, this was largely a collaborative project for NINEBANG, who is known to write a lot of his own music; Chapel Records’ in-house producer, KKUMA, stepped out of the Chapel to lend both her writing and producing skills toward the track “Tequila”, 5OGUE’s Penny did the same for “Thirsty”, BRAT’s Lauren helped with “Sunset”, soloist and creative director Cola, with whom NINEBANG is known to be very close friends, assisted with writing the Spanish-reggaeton track “Traicionera”, just to name a few. The Mini even includes the work of Puerto-Rican Reggaeton producer, Tainy, from NINEBANG’s time in Los Angeles filming for “Press Your Number” and working on “Traicionera.” “Eclipse” shows a different side of NINEBANG than fans are used to -- a darker, more dangerous side. With his powerful vocals, he experiments with this new image between different genres and styles.
Kimlip's Eclipse has reached over 1 million views! She is the second girl to do so!
Abandoned Subway [Sandwich] | Self Para
Band wasn't something he'd thought he'd be able to do presurgery, after all his sternum was trying to crush his lungs, it wasn't like blowing into a trumpet seemed like a plausible thing he could achieve. But once he was through with recovery he picked his dad's trumpet and started to play. While Danny was far from perfect at playing the instrument, he liked that. He liked the fact that it was something he struggled with and grew nervous before each performance. While Danny had been playing lacrosse since he could walk, music was still a relatively new passion of his, and the discoveries that came with that was what drove Danny
On the other hand Danny couldn't say with any kind of conviction that he was thrilled about how long it tookmband practices sometimes. Danny was used to long and hard work out, after all he had years of lacrosse under his belt, his muscles had become acclimated to the amount of work that went into making him season ready. Playing the trumpet and reading music was a very different thing. While he could, sitting up straight in a chair, reading music and blowing I to a horn was a completely different skill set. Usually a around the second hour of practice he was already aching to go home.
So when their Director, Mr. Pape, finally ended that nights practice he mlet out a sigh of relief before saying his good byes to his friends. The drive from Beacon Hills High School to Danny's house wasn't really a long one, but he knew that when he got home the last thing he'd want to do was make himself something to eat; deciding as he exited the parking lot to make a quick pit stop at Subway. It would at least be a healthier alternative to the junk he'd been eating lately. It was around five minutes after he'd left the parking lot that he was pulling into the parking lot of the nearest Subway, and it was another fifteen minutes after he'd entered the parking lot that he was leaving it.
Driving back to his house Danny rolled down his windows and shamelessly sang along to the radio. Just like his trumpet playing, Danny was terrible with his voice but seeing as it was just him and his sandwich he didn't feel the need to try and act proper. It felt good to just kick back and be himself. Not to say that he wasn't always acting like himself, just most of the time it was Danny acting the role of Danny through a filter, the Danny that people seemed to assume he was. The Danny that was always the optimist, and even as he sang along to Taylor Swift's latest radio hit his mind couldn't help but wander to the darker parts of his mind.
Growing up Danny had been under the impression that Beacon Hills was a safe town. It was a smaller town, he knew most of the people in his class, and for the most part it wasn't an exciting place. As he grew up Beacon Hills only started to feel smaller even though the city was actually getting bigger. Then the girl was found, or half of her was found in the Preserves and while Danny and most of the citizens of the town had been disturbed he thought that it would be the end of it. Then came the animal attacks, and even that wasn't exactly calming. Hell, even he'd been attacked, luckily though he'd survived his brush with whatever could paralyze people. Then just as suddenly those attacked stopped a new killer, a decidedly human killer decided to take on the job of terrorizing Beacon Hills, and while those killing seemed to have stopped by the little Halloween stunt it was clear to Danny and the rest of the citizens that they weren't done, that their plan was greater than the murders they'd already committed. And while Danny wanted to be the optimistic face that he projected the majority of the time, as he looked death in them face it was hard for him to just accept it, especially when he was worrying about who might be killed next, or who or what would be terrorizing the city next. Because even he was still trying to wrap his head around the supernatural creatures he knew it would be stupid to attempt to deny what Jackson had told and shown him.
As Danny started to drive through his neighborhood he rolled up his window, turned his radio down and instead of singing along he tapped his hand along to the beat on the steering wheel. Pulling up in front of his house he smiled, reaching over to grab his sandwich before he pulled his key out of the ignition.
He didn't, even make it to the driveway before he felt someone come up behind him. instinctively he dropped his sandwich and tried to fight back, but before he could do enough damage he felt consciousness drain from his body.
Taken. | Lydia & Danny
He doesn't remember much after he ran into Aiden after band practice, and as he woke up in the abandoned mall. As he sat up he looked around, finding it hard to see any thing, but as his as grew accustomed to the darkness he made his way over to the figure he saw a few feet from him. Getting closer to the figure he saw that it was Lydia, and while he was happy to see someone he recognized, he was still confused by everything that was happening. "Lyds?" He called out, reaching a hand out to tap her on her leg.
