Appreciate A Dragon Day ~ Dragon Booster: Earth-Class Dragons
The brown Earth-Class dragon was originally bred for digging and demolishing, and this dragon can do all of that and more but not without good reason. This old breed is very smart and won’t necessarily do what you want unless he agrees with you. Once on your side, these steady, thoughtful and powerful dragons are very destructive. When crossed, they can go out of control in a judgmental frenzy.
Which dragon is perfect for me
Pardon the delayed response to this, anon, but I hope you're doing well. <3
And that all depends on you, now, doesn't it? =3
Star-Class dragons kind of work for everyone, since beyond Beau, they're all over the draconium spectrum. So really, which Star-Class is right for you depends on their dominant draconium influence, as it'll most effect their behaviors out of the others. Speaking of the draconiums...!
Black Psi-Class dragons tend to work well with cunning riders, who're sharp and clever enough to bounce off of them. They are very empathetic creatures, to the point of pseudo-psychic links. They're very opinionated and willful, and won't pay you much heed if they don't respect you. If you think you have the mind to meet the wit of a Psi, then there you go!
Red Magma-Class dragons are hot-headed and emotional beasts, on the other side of that coin. But because of their fiery nature, if you don't know how to keep them in line, things can get wild real fast. They are wild but loyal, like mustangs that are hot to the touch! If you think you can manage a wildfire lol, then by all means!
Green Bull-Class dragons are even harder than the last two to control, given how...large and in charge they are. It takes a strong force of both presence and will in a rider to get one to heed them. And Phistus has both in spades! But if you have even half the will and ferocity that he does, you might just work well with a Bull! Just don't get the horns!
Blue Energy-Class dragons are as precise and quick as lightning, hence their class' logo! Due to their sheer skill and energy, they flourish under a master rider, but are such excellent spirits they can all but shepherd a newbie. So really, whether you are green or veteran, you could mesh well with an Energy. But do you have the discipline and precision to really release both of your powers?
Purple Pack-Class dragons are very much social creatures, and are always meant to be in a pack with others. They prefer their rider to be the boss, but as long as they are in a group, they are just fine. I do not believe that Packs are very picky about their riders, but you must be one who works well with a team; either as its leader, or as a mighty pack member.
Brown Earth-Class dragons are the most willful of all the dragons, and just as difficult to control as you'd expect. If they fully agree with you, nothing will stand in your way. But if they don't...well! Their crew isn't called Will of the Dragon for nothing! Despite the legendary stoicism of their riders, Earths themselves can get really testy and judgmental if they've been crossed. So ask yourself, can you work with the mountain?
Don't take an Orange Control-Class dragon's word for it unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE they're not gonna use you as a puppet, lol. Cuz it is in their culture to take advantage of humans. But hey! If there is a good-hearted Control who would rather work with you than enslave you, then if the dragon seems companionable enough, don't let me stop you!
Light Green Scavenger-Class dragons are hard to find and harder to keep an eye on. They're usually the doormat dragons, easily manipulated by fear or force to do others' bidding. They're quiet, sneaky, quick, and resourceful; they'll likely be able to help you with anything! But keep them safe and well-cared for. And hopefully you're not the kind of person who'd take advantage of them, cuz that's the difference between Controls and Scavengers; the former will enslave you, the latter could all too easily be enslaved.
Light Blue Nautilus-Class dragons are the hardest to pin down, and thus are likely to be the hardest to handle! They are very versatile and all-terrain, but they themselves are just as wily. You have to be on your toes at all times with these dragons, and never let your guard down. They're ornery little fishy buggers! Like playing with a dolphin and not realizing it's tricked you into falling into its pool! They're like Psi-Classes that way, BUT EVEN ORNIER AND HARDER TO HANDLE.
Don't find a Grey Bone-Class dragon, they're not in a good place right now. =^w^=
White Sky-Class dragons...oh, where to begin...you think you can handle a living biplane? A giant flying squirrel that is permanently on the zoomies? A living BMX bike that ways several hundred pounds? Would you be willing and able to parkour with one and keep up? Do you look down from a tall place and feel no fear? ...good! Maybe a Sky is just the right match for you!
TURQUOISE SONIC-CLASS DRAGONS ARE VERY LOUD AND FORCEFUL, THEY ARE SKYRIM DRAGONS ON FOUR LEGS AND WITH NO WINGS. THEY WILL VERBALLY BULLY YOU OR YOUR ENEMIES, IT DEPENDS. THEY ARE VERY SMART AND STRATEGIC, THEY KNOW HOW TO USE SOUND AND WORDS TO THEIR ADVANTAGE. A GROUP OF THEM IS JUST DRACONIC WESTSIDE STORY JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN. IF YOU DON'T FEAR FOR YOUR HEARING AND HAVE A STRONG ENOUGH SENSE OF SELF TO SQUARE UP TO A SONIC, THEN BE MY GUEST.
Do Bull and Earth Class dragons have short tails, or docked tails, or both?
I’m not sure...
Okay, at the very least, Earth-Class dragons do not have docked tails, lol. Rumbull’s tail looks just fine, it’s even got those spikes along the bottom. But being a heavy-set quadruped with a low center of gravity, a tail for balance isn’t exactly needed. Just like bisons, yaks, elephants, their tails don’t need to be long and stretch out behind them. I would presume Bulls would be the same, but...
It’s hard to find good pictures of Bull tails, but Cyrano afforded me a couple of decent shots. I can’t say for sure, but while I don’t think Earth-Class dragons get their tails docked, it’s likely that Bulls do. Either that, or they just have oddly squarded off tails; but that seems to be a given across most if not all Bulls that we see. Given that they already get their shoulder spikes either cut or sanded down, it’s also likely that their tails get too long and need to be docked. Cyrano’s tail seems roughly the same length, if not slightly shorter. Hmm...
You know, I’m not sure! The only thing I can definitively say is that I don’t think Earth-Class tails get docked. If Rumbull can get away with partaking in digging work and drag-ball without needing a docked tail, I doubt other Earth-Classes would too. As for Bull-Class dragons, that could go either way. They either just have very blocky tails, or they need their tails docked just as they need their spikes sanded down.

Btw guys, recently I started college class (about dracking time, took me long enough =P), and one of my classes is an Illustration class for a Graphic Design AA. We recently finished our project of making a minimum of 9 Icons. We each picked a theme, and I of course decided on dragons. But a part of me felt compelled to not just do dragons...but do Dragon Booster dragons.
I didn’t have time to do one for every color, but I did as many as I could. As you can tell, I dabbled a little in different styles of icons, too. =P
The little Prophet there at the bottom is my favorite. I was trying to try making smiles with the Keeper and the Prophet, since as you can see, most of the icons don’t have much in terms of expressions. But I think I got the Prophet Smile the best, he looks so cute and cheeky, I wuv him. I’m also really proud of how I did his icon period, making the circle orange and his head come from it, and the center of the circle is pink colored, with those lines over his head to give the idea of the exposed brain.
Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT THE SURPRISE. The surprise is still a work in progress, but I knew you guys would enjoy this. =3
Rumbull’s Expressive Moments
Bonus:
Dude, what if one of the cities on Draconis is actually all inside a gigantic cavern, similar to the Er Wang Dong caves in China
Dude, dude, dude, you’re talking to the person who’s #1 Favorite Dragon Class is the EARTH-CLASS. I don’t think I’ve made that clear before now, bUT NOW I HAVE. I’ve even come up with dragon communities that live in giant cave systems, so this already fits into my creativity.
Imagine if it was, like, Erebor or something from The Hobbit. It was just an entire mountain, hollowed out and holding a vast city. But one that’s kind of mixed with what you mentioned, as I just googled pictures of those caves and yES.
THIS WHOLE IDEA MAKES ME VERY HAPPY.
