Upcoming Performance - w/ Detour Dance
As part of the National Queer Arts Festival Detour Dance, SevanKelee Boult, Nefertiti Asanti and Davia Spain present hot off the press and out of the rehearsal studio new work! Excited to share the stage with these uniquely talented Bay Area performers as we take a theatrical journey into a lost city. This showing will be the first iteration of FUGUE, a larger work by Detour Dance set to premiere December 1-10, 2017 in San Francisco’s Mission District.

Work-in-Progress Showing @ OFFSITE
It’s been about two years since I’ve thought about creating any sort of ensemble work. Stars aligned in 2017 and I was awarded an artistic residency at the Shawl Anderson Dance Center. For the time being, I have a home to develop the foundation for an intimate and immersive dance theater work that will bring to life memories, fantasies and fears triggered by casual encounters within a surreal waiting room.
Still in its nascent stages, I’ll be showing one of these experiments together with the inimitable Arletta Anderson & Katelyn Hanes, in about a weeks time.
