Dewy and luminous, Eau de Jane from my friend Jane Daly. A bit of freshness is my favourite kind of smell, unless I’m in the mood for something different, depending on the weather and whatever else is going on, but floral freshness is definitely one of my favourites. Eau de Jane gives me all of this. I dipped into my warm wintery fragrances too early, and needed respite, so it gives me that. I can see myself wearing it lots in the spring and summer too because it’s so fresh but not a fresh citrus. It’s kind of a spritzer because it has sparking qualities. Light and easy with lots of green but none of the sharpness of some other chypres. An opening of violet and galbanum, rose blended with carnations, and ylang ylang, eventually a woodsy smooth dry down. Easy to wear from beginning to end. It's a green silk bouquet, fresh and clean, no thorns, drops of water splashed on white tile.
