Hello! How do we submit our final drafts?

...For some reason I was thinking I’d moved the date for final drafts to January 9th. ;<<

So, we don’t really need to see the final drafts, we just need to know if you’re done or not, so for the final drafts, just send an ask to the blog with the name you signed up under and your partner’s name and let us know if you are finished with your part or, if not, an estimate of how much longer you need. We’ll accept submissions through to Friday, January 12th.

I dunno if I'm the only one who has problems with this but ... I would have loved to get an email in the beginning of this **** to what they due dates are. I'm balancing shit ton of shit and one freaking email would have saved me the trouble. I'm not on Tumblr much which is why I keep missing these due dates and then get a few days of warning to get my shit together.

The due dates are published on the sidebar of the ebb blog, and always have been. Neither shulkie nor myself are your mother and you are responsible for your own "shit," or “****” as the case may be. It is your responsibility to be aware of the due dates and keep track of them, and if you wanted an email at the beginning telling you, directly, what the due dates were, then there was an additional comment section where you could have asked - asked not demanded - for such an email. If you have that much "shit ton of shit" to balance that you can't keep on top of a hobby commitment you chose to participate in, then maybe you should message us OFF anon to drop out. 

 Also, if you feel this response is rude or uncalled for, perhaps you should have messaged OFF anon under your own user name and with a more civil tone instead of spewing profanities and entitled demands, and the reply might have been more polite in return.

Heyo!! If an artist signed up for one fic finishes their work early and decides they want to try their hand at tackling another, is that a scenario you'd be happy to accommodate? Thanks xx

That could probably be arranged. Or they could go to the top of the list for possible pinch hitters. (Pinch artists are more likely to be needed than writers; if an artist’s writer drops out, we can just assign them to make 1 or 2 pieces for one of the other writers still participating.)

I'm just curious, what do I do with the info of knowing who is my artist?

We’re giving the info to the writers and artists of who their partners are so they can contact each other. The artists need access to your drafts so they can draw the art for the fics. This is a collaborative event so communication is important! :)

Lets say my top pick was 4 and it was available but so was 7 and 19, would 4 be the one given to me or was it at random from the 3 numbers???

Fics are being assigned in a kind of balancing act between when your claim got in, if anyone or no one else picked one of the same fics as you, and artist preference order, if indicated.

What is a pinch-hitter? Sorry I just got introduced to ereri Big Bang from my friend

when signing up as either a writer or artist, you will be asked whether or not you would like to volunteer as a pinch hitter.

a pinch hitter is someone who, in case of emergency, steps in to help. this generally means that an author or an artist has dropped out incredibly suddenly, leaving their remaining partner without fic or art.

pinch hitting situations are case-by-case, and will be addressed on an as-needed basis. generally speaking, pinch-hitters are asked to do a smaller amount of work since they usually have less time in which to complete it (i.e. a smaller word count, less art, etc.).

pinch hitting is not to be confused with signing up to do multiple works (fic or art) for the challenge.

more often than not, we need pinch hitting artists more than writers, because if a writer drops out, we will most likely place the unpaired artist with another writer from their claims list.

Hi! I was just wondering how exactly an artist would sign up? I'm on mobile and every link I click on just takes me back to the top of your blog. I'm sorry if that seems like a stupid question, I'm just a bit confused.

What if you're not a very good artist but you'd like to participate? Is art like chibi allowed?

There isn’t an art threshold or a test to pass to sign up as an artist. If you want to do it, and you are confidant you can complete the required two pictures, then go for it! As long as you do your best and put effort into it, I’m sure your art will be lovely. 

As for chibi style art, you just have to pick fics that fit that art style if that’s what you want to use - like cute, fluffy fics. I wouldn’t recommend picking a gritty film noir AU, for example.
