Leliana glanced toward the Templar as she finished off with her scouts and they went off to the hissing wastelands. It would be a long trip and no news for several weeks she assumed. She shifted toward the man, curious to get to know one of the men who were within the ranks of the Inquisition forces. Cullen appeared to trust him and so did the inquisitor, but Leliana wasn’t easy to sway.
But she allowed herself to speak up first. “Aden, if I’m correct?” She said as she took the moment when he wasn’t busy. “You came from the Free Marches,” She asked, though her reports already told her several things about the Templar before her.
Aden half turned to watch the scouts scurry past him, his ostensibly light green eyes hard with suspicion. He had no idea what they were doing for the spymaster, nor did he have much knowledge of them as a whole, which fed his suspicion. Could they be trusted to do what they were asked? Could they be trusted to not compromise the Inqusition? Leliana would know better than he would but he could not entirely help the dark thoughts that crossed his mind. It was a suspicion that often served him and he knew he shared with others of his Order... as fractured as it was.
That wasn't what he was here for though. No, Leliana was the reason he was here at all, a woman well known for her part in the Ferelden Blight. A bard by name, a master by reputation, and the secret keeper here in the Inqusition. If there was something to be known, she likely knew it, which was why he assumed she wanted him. He had something she either wanted to know, or wanted to use him to get something more. Neither of these things he really minded, as he at least then could feel more useful. His role here had been very much unsorted, as was much otherwise, a matter Aden had been trying to work on himself in an attempt to aid both the Commander and the Inquisitor.
Perhaps that's why he was being called out? Best to know straight off, and that would only come with conversation. One that Leliana started to dictate.
"Yes. Ostwick. Served in the Circle tower there for four years."
