Physics at 10am, what did we learn today, uhh... well my homework wasn't collected

Hour break at 11am, went to library

Comp Arch at noon, except really 1pm because etc. Went over more about what the final project will be, programming the PAL for the ALU involves writing a program to write the logic, and also writing an assembler for the instructions, that generates a binary file to be put on the ROM for prog mem. At first I was like "aw man" but now I am kinda like "yeah awesome" because I like writing programs that parse formatted text. I don't know why.

Hour break at 3pm, ate lunch, looked up some sorting algorithms, and found this article which I thought was kinda funny. (" It uses true quantum randomness to randomly permute the list. The list is then inspected, and if it is not in order, the universe is destroyed.")

Signals review at 4pm, went over several problems from the 2009 exam, half of which we have not learned yet. It involves SSS and WSS whatnot things etc stuff

HSS at 6pm, we got bagels with cream cheese, yeahh. Then people presented their papers and at the end we got our papers back except not mine and one other person who also handed it in on time because she is not done grading them yet

Signals at 8am, some review of statistics and more about how it relates to signal processing and whatnot. And then a bunch of notes that I didn't pay much attention to or copy down because the professor said he'd give us copies of it later

Computer center at 10am, worked on signals homework until about 2pm, wow was it really that long? Apparently so. Then went to McDonald's (where the snack wraps for some reason actually tasted above average). Then went to financial aid office.

I would've stayed at school to do physics homework, because I actually feel like being productive when I'm around school, and if I go home, I'm not gonna do homework on Friday. But then I remembered if I take the subway too late, it'll be rush hour and inconvenient.

Took subway home at about 3pm, played Pokemon. Got through Twist mountain.

Dream - Late (Apr 19 / morning)

in this dream

signals class on Friday had started again and this dream took place during a break

some people and I went to a nearby Toys R' Us (note: there is no nearby Toys R' Us in real life) and ended up spending about an hour in there

Ended up buying some cookie dough for some reason, the package was slightly opened and the cashier made sure that I wanted cookie dough instead of actual pre-made cookies

Then we were like "oh man we spent an hour in here, the class is already over" and ran back

one of the people stopped on the second floor to do something

I ran up the stairs to the 8th floor and then I remembered the classroom was on the 6th floor

There was a shortcut that was pretty much just a chute with some rungs on the wall that you could grab on to when you were at the floor you wanted, but it seemed dangerous

someone from my high school opened the door to the stairs and said that the chute was for "pretty girls who thought they were ugly" or something equally ridiculous-sounding

I ran down the stairs to the 6th floor

Then I woke up because of loud music from the basement, in real life

Went home at noon, ate lunch, did some solid state homework

Physics recitation at 5pm, quiz about momentum

Went home at 6pm, 9081 steps

Signals at 8am, more stuff about matrices and other things such as infinitesimal generators I guess

Took subway home at 10am, read some stuff for HSS4, then walked home

I just realized the previous post was also March 22, because I made it after midnight and I was confused, please forgive the mistake okay, total gomens (I totally stole this phrase from the canon_chans)

TODAY, March 22, 2011:

Signals at 10am, a lot of linear algebra stuff that I didn't entirely understand because what is an eigenvalue anyway, right? I should know this but I don't because intro to lin.alg was first semester freshman year.

Got physics exam back at noon

Went home, ate lunch, napped

Solid state materials at 4pm, zener diode regulator circuit stuff, got exam back. I was like "woah what this is terrible" and then it was revealed that the average was a 64 and then I was like "this is less terrible"

Physics recitation at 5pm, there was some quiz (that didn't count) about momentum of a boson emitting two photons or something, that I totally did not understand because we only went over momentum yesterday

Met with physics professor at 6pm office hours (well, more like 6:35pm because of all the waiting), I will just say that he is a very nice guy

Walked home at about 7pm

Oh yeah also I saw a few restaurants closed down due to health violations, and I was just thinking "wow my family used to eat at this place all the time but not any time within the last few years"

signals at 8am, got exam back, did above average. Then did some more s-plane partial fraction stuff and then z-transform partial fraction stuff

10am, went to computer center, did some signals homework

took subway home at noon, read some stuff for HSS

got home, received @gargron's letter

March 8, 2011 - 9362 steps

Signals at 10am, Laplace transform domain stuff, it made more sense than most other lectures for some reason. I was also tired due to not being able to fall asleep until after 3am last night.

Went home at noon, ate lunch, napped from 1pm until 3pm.

Solid state at 4pm, did some examples

Physics recitation at 5pm, had a quiz where I messed up the last part because I fail at squaring and subtracting, but now I will forever remember that 7, 24, 25 is a Pythagorean triplet.

Walked home at 6pm, 9362 steps
