Gonna reanswer some old ask for funsies.
My thoughts for Echo with his current concept for now is that he will actually have someone to have a relationship in some way and that also leads to his first kiss. It didn't really happen in a normal and genuine love kind of way.
Because he was using them and shaped their relationship, and he ended up regretting it big time, mostly on the emotional parts, and when they broke up, echo felt guilty, as for the other party, they were hostile as well in the beginning when they first met, but changed because of Echo's ability to code that let them free from the underground, so they are now in a good place thanks to echo.
