"Hey, honey, so sorry to bother you but it looks like we have a warrant out for your name." The officer's gentle drawl is almost enough to distract from those glowing eyes. It looks down at the paper in its hands.
"I will have to take you the nearest detention center. You will be allowed one call and are welcome to plead the charge."
"Hey honey, I hate to bother you but it looks like you've racked up quite the record."
The man, if one could even call it that, smiles sympathetically. Despite taking the form of a human so as not to cause a disturbance, Hemlock could tell that this being is far from that.
It's wearing a uniform with a badge reading U.T.L.C. and the white stripes of an officer.
"Now, I'm told you ain't an easy going to choose the easy way, but I figure you deserve a chance."
The best way to describe it's drawling accent is what the east coast imagines a southern accent is.
"Will you come talk in my office, sweetheart?"

The waiting room was not royal and solemn as the room before. It was large and empty of decorations with the exception of a twisted metal clock against the farthest wall. The floor was a sea green carpet and the walls the same cool grey as the enterance. There were seven chairs and seven doors. None of them were marked, but somehow she knew that each of them had names, and that her's was the one on the end. Not yet. Not until she was called.
There was a man. Freckles like the stars, hair dark as the ocean. He sat in one of the chairs, writing on a pad. He doesn't look up when she enters. They are waiting. The two of them. There is a solidarity in the silence.
The waiting continues for sometime. According to the clock, it was barely a few minutes. The clock hardly moved.

Valentine🫀: Regret is a strong word. Perhaps I wish to have done things differently, or I recognize after the fact that a different action would have yielded a better outcome.
Echo🌟: Oh, who does not? I cannot do everything right the first time. If I could change the past, I would avoid causing the pain that I had.

What is Echo? A white supergiant. It is just starting to reach middle age and will soon (within the next million years) cool off becoming red star.
Why does it work with the UTLC? Why not? Besides, existance gets boring after a few million years.
If it's a cop, does it like donuts? While it is capable of it, Echo doesn't actually need to consume any type of food. It will occasionally eat as a social thing, but has never tried a donut.
