Hello?
Hello?
**BZZZT!**
And that was The Edge of Forever by Dick Hieronymus and Carol Browning. What a closing number, if you ask me! You know, The Forest? That movie from the 80s? Just me? Oh. Well, okay then. Hmm...
It's currently 1:44pm on the clock and we're looking at cloudy skies today, but that could be subject to change. One of our station operators, Marissa, found where the previous owners kept some of their meteorological equipment. As I'm announcing this, it's roughly 45°F or 7.2°C for any non Americans who may be tuning in. That's not too bad for this time of the year!
We're happy to announce that everyone survived the night and we're in much higher spirits than earlier in the week. Some of our team plans on exploring the area for supplies and other survivors, but they don't seem particularly hopeful that certain stores haven't been completely cleared out or reduced to rot. I for one would do certain unmentionables for some fresh fruit.
Anyway, listeners, we're going to continue our trend to keep you updated with what's going on and supplying you with music and comfort while you navigate through the rubble and dust. Take care, survivors, and remember - keep looking up.
This has been Toran Reed and you're listening to Echo Frequency - Radio Nowhere 84.1. Welcome to the brave new world.

I-I think we fixed it now.
Hello? Is anyone out there?
I didn't think we would get this place up and running again, not after the entire power grid went out. We don't know how long we're going to be able to hold onto our connection before we lose it again.
Are you still with us, world? Do you still have a pulse? I hope that if this reaches anyone it means there's still a chance. Someone has to be out there, right?
For right now, we're safe here. We managed to clear a path to the studio and my cohorts are currently working to keep us on the air and searching the building for signs of life and supplies. This place looks like it was abandoned quickly and I don't have much hope they'll find a lot that's useful. I'm receiving word from one of my friends at the controls, Cadence, that there's a calendar on a nearby desk that hasn't been touched since April of this year. My expectations that others searching and securing the perimeter finding anything are dwindling quickly.
It's currently 5:43PM and it's pitch black outside. It's hard to gauge what the temperature is like at the moment, but I'm sure there's a thermometer and barometer somewhere in the station. I suppose it's not all that important to anyone who may be listening other than I hope you have a jacket because it's cold, windy, and rainy here. It's going to be a long, long winter.

Good news, listeners. Two of my team members uncovered some dry goods in the station breakroom. It isn't much, but this surely beats eating cold baked beans and potted meat. We're going to settle down for the night. We will do our best to keep the station running for as long as we can, pushing out music and updates to keep you weary survivors company during these enduring times.
This is Toran Reed with Echo Frequency, Radio Nowhere 84.1. Welcome to the end of the world.
