Sooo yeah. That took more spoons to get through reading than I anticipated. I'm more than a bit into derealization mode right now, but I know speaking up about this is important, so please bear with me if I say it all wrong or something. Echoassociation was one of the systems that reached out to me here early on, so it took me a bit to get past the initial knee-jerk defense mode. It's not easy to admit someone you felt you trusted did something really bad.

So this is me going on record. I am against the fetishization of genocide and mass murder in general, against the fetishization of the Holocaust in specific, against the viewpoint that the Jewish systems here should not feel hurt or threatened by the posts made by echoassociation, and against ea's subsequent handling of this whole debacle. I've now unfollowed ea's blogs. Also for the record, and if anyone happens to want to clarify this for me feel free, I actually don't know if I count as Jewish or gentile. I vote gentile, as I was raised as such and have no known hereditary claim to Jewish lineage, but my parents have since converted to Judaism, are prominent members in their synagogue, and are raising my youngest sister in the Jewish faith and custom. So I'm not exactly a disinterested party here, but have nowhere near the same stake in it as the Jewish members of our community. I apologize for my inaction until now, as I was unaware of what was going on.
