These are my Nox Sides! I’ve actually had Nox (as a character) for a long time as an alternate, better version of me, and I reflect her/them a lot on this account (and in case you didn’t figure it out, my name isn’t nox but I like to go by it). I was tagged by @pansexualroman :)

Explanation of the Eclipse Isles

So here is the best explanation of the Eclipse Isles I have to offer. This is my idea, so please do not steal. 

This is an AU where emotions and feelings are creatures - sprites, humanoids. But in order to get to this wonderful AU, there are only two ways: beings with mental disorders are able to go to this world any time they want, through portals (daydreams, essentially, they just have to stare off into space long enough). Regular humans can enter this world as well, but they can only access it in their dreams and consciousness, meaning that when they wake up, they don’t remember their visit and therefore, they believe that world does not exist. 

Those who have mental disorders often have their feeling/creature on their shoulders at all times, depending on what is running through their minds. Each creature from each species has their own human, with the exception of the Grief Isle. 

I’ve had this idea for over a year now, and I figured it was as good a time as any to finally write it down and preserve it here.

What are they're favourite foods? 😺

They all have different favorite foods, and most of the time they don’t constitute as meals, unfortunately.

Cadenza loves strawberry milkshakes and fries. And yes, she loves dipping the fries into the shake.

Mariana loves sushi. No explanation why, she just loves it. Maybe it’s just the hipster in her

Nox has been a big fan of mint chocolate chip cookies and cream ice cream ever since she tried it. Mint in general is her favorite - it calms her down the most.

Seraphina likes all kinds of fruit and natural produce - just for the colors, mainly, but sometimes for the taste and the healthiness. She’s still growing out of the “all vegetables and green things taste bad” phase. She can be adventurous about food when she likes.

Kat loves bubble tea. Mainly for the pun: I’m so bubbly so I love bubble tea! But she admits that it also has a “splendid” flavor.

They like separates!!!! Cadenza is obsessed with any bird that can sing, but especially warblers. She has one of her own and she loves singing with it.Mariana is a fan of meerkats, simply because they’re as mischievous and as hyper as she is. Nox takes a liking to literally any animal that’s lazy. This includes binturongs, cats, and pandas. She actually owns a cat, one that’s midnight black and sleeps all day. Seraphina loves capuchins, because she thinks they’re absolutely adorable and smart. Kat personally prefers sea otters, because, as proven by Finding Dory, they love to cuddle. She also owns a cat, a really affectionate one.

Habitat: The Dry Forest

Isle: The Isle of Grief

Gender: Both (Boys, mainly, though.) 

Typical Life Span: A few weeks to a few months. 

Job: Their screaming can blind humans with anger at themselves. 

Appearance: Their hair is often a dark red, and they often wear scowls with their fists clenched. They wear red hoodies with a fire designs on them with black baggy pants.

Fun Facts: 

- Contradictory to their appearance, they are not violent creatures, just in pain. 

- If they scream loud enough all together, the Isle of Grief will experience an earthquake.

Species: Sprite

Habitat: The meadows

Isle: The Isle of Grief 

Gender: Often girls, can be boys

Typical Lifespan: 1 day to a week

Job: Their main job is to sing their song that hypnotizes humans with disbelief until they’re ready to move on. 

Appearance: Their hair is blonder and they often wear sad smiles. Their long, sleeve shirts are yellow, their skirts and suspenders red, and their boots brown. They are often seen wearing flower crowns. 

Fun Facts: 

- The lowest caste on the Isle of Grief.

Name: Griever

Species: Sprite

Habitat: The shadows

Isle: The Isle of Grief

Gender: mainly girls, however there are a few boys, but they appear less often - they are not often the same gender as their human. 

Typical Lifespan: As long as it takes to reach Acceptance.

Job: To accompany anyone and everyone who is grieving. 

Appearance: Half of their faces are covered to hide themselves into the shadows. They are often seen with sad expressions on their faces, but there are rare cases where they’ll attempt at a smile. They have wings, but it is often that they are tucked in and only there for vanity (though the Grievers will never admit it). Their skin is a light grey, their hair black, their dresses various shades of blue. 

Fun Facts: 

-They are the highest caste on the Isle of Grief

-They have misformed tongues and voice boxes

-They possess excellent intuition.
