This piece of writing I have been able to assess and annotate, has enabled me to focus on the 6 + 1 traits of writing. I have look at sentence fluency, as I feel some of the sentences don't flow very well. In terms of organisation, there are 3 clear paragraphs which is pleasing. There are some great ideas in the piece, using great information to enrich and inform the reader about the chosen topic.The overall presentation is quite neat, and easy to read.

Based on the 6 + 1 Traits of Writing, I believe this student would benefit from working on the ‘conventions’ trait. Conventions are the writers skill in using, punctuation, spelling, grammar, capitalization, and layout, to clarify and enhance meaning (Winch et al. 2014, p.396). This students writing is in one large chunk with no commas or full stops to break up the story and convey meaning. Use of punctuation at appropriate intervals would improve this student writing skills.

Week 3

The main types of texts I read change weekly. 

Of course Facebook, texts, the newspaper and emails occur nearly everyday. But the things I enjoy reading the most are different types of blogs and also autobiographies. I love to read autobiographies I find them so interesting and I love learning about different types of people and their stories.
