Ecobricks: The Solution to Plastic

The use of plastic has increased worldwide in past few decades. From 1950 till 2016 the production of plastic has raised from 0.35 to 335 million metric tons, and the consumption has risen from 11 kg/person to 45 kg/person. With this rate of consumption and no method of recycling, the plastic is ending up in landfills and polluting our planet Earth.

But luckily there is a way to reduce this pollution and going absolutely ‘ZERO-WASTE’. And that is ‘Ecobricks’.

What Ecobricks are??  An Ecobrick is a bottle packed solid with used plastic to make a re-useable building block.  All you need is a plastic bottle and a stick to start.  Best of all, you don’t need any fancy machines, special skills, engineers or politicians to get started.

Ecobricks are cradle-to-cradle building blocks, which can be used to make any structure imaginable. From indoor furniture to outdoor park benches to houses. One’s imagination is the limit of Ecobricks applications. Ecobricks can be tied-up using tire-bands, silicon, cob or cement.
