Parade of Nations - Ecuador

Ecuador formed its National Olympic Committee in 1948 and participated in its first Olympics as a country at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. They haven’t hosted any Olympic Games, but they’ve participated in 13 Summer Games and 1 Winter Games. The Olympic sport in which Ecuador has medaled is Athletics.

“Located just below the equator, with the tropical climate of the Amazon, the alpine climate of the Andes, the warm climate of the coastline, and the climate peculiar to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador's wilderness, flora and fauna are divided into each climatic zone. The work I drew. The author's commitment is oozing out everywhere, such as devising the Galapagos Islands as a turtle shell and incorporating the style of a famous writer in the silhouette of waves and clouds. The contrast between the large orchids and the sunlight shining down from heaven brings the whole together.”[1]
Obi Maker: Nishijin-Maizuru/ 西陣まいづる
“A hand-woven work that covers the heavy interior decoration of the Jesuit church, expresses the color of the amber wall with shades of gold, and creates a magnificent Chinese pattern with ingenuity. By using various metal threads for the ground structure, a complex texture is created, and the color scheme is devised so as not to spoil the dignity of the church.” [1]
