I finally finished this after 3 months of procrastination. c: I hope to draw more this year and next. Added the 2020 and 2018 versions plus my reference sheet and I’m happy to look back on how my art has progressed.

You know what sucks?
That no matter how hard I try, I don’t remember what exactly got me into drarry.
And it’s frustrating cuz I remember little tidbits of how it started but there’s a lot of blurry areas.
The only thing I remember is,
- that before I had tumblr, I was using Pinterest, which always had posts from tumblr
-so then I saw this dramione post, and I’m like ‘wow this is a great ship’, and I was into that for- I kid you not- only about a month.
-reason being that at the same time I found out what kevedd was. (Kevin x edd, from ed, edd, n eddy)
-and that was the first time I actually found out about gay ships.
-I’m from a really religious family, so being gay is a big no no.
-so my parents didn’t even ever tell me being gay is bad. They just never told it was an option. Like, instead of telling me that it’s bad, they just never mentioned it.
-ANYWAYS
- I’m getting off track
-so I found out what kevedd was
-and let me tell you,
-I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM
-to this day I keep a very special place in my heart for them
-so basically after figuring out that gay ships exist
-I came across a drarry post
-I don’t remember if it was just an edit of them, or an actual post
-but it was one of the other
-and I was like
-Oh, I’m intrigued
-so after I started reading some theories and headcanon on how they are meant for each other I just fell in love
-cuz ever since I was younger, and people told me that Harry and Ginny are meant to be, I would just be uncomfortable with it
-I didn’t think that they worked well together at all. And I had no idea why.
-it wasn’t until I came across that drarry post that my mind just had a revelation
-all I was thinking was
-“this is why it never seemed right when people shipped Harry and Ginny”
-once I started shipping drarry, it felt so much more RIGHT, that Harry and draco should be together
-and to anyone that does ship hinny, it’s just not my cup of tea. Never liked it then, and I don’t like it now.
I just realized that after writing all this down, my memory was coming back and I just kept remembering things
Like, I didn’t even remember that I shipped dramione at the beginning it was so long ago.
(I mean not really, on two years, but still)
Woah, that means that I’ve been shopping drarry for two years.
I’m now also realizing that if I had been taught what gay culture was, and that it was ok, I might’ve realized drarry sooner.
And to anyone wondering, even though my family is hella homophobic, because of our religion, I don’t see what the problem is. I’m fine with gay, bi, ace, pan, trans, etc. I mean, if their not killing anyone or hurting anyone, I don’t really see why people should care about who someone likes, or if someone wants to change who they are.
