These beautiful Golden Anniversary Cupcakes are a great way to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. The gold dusting and sequins that you can eat add a touch of luxury to your party. These cupcakes are sure to make your loved ones' golden years fun and bright.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 2 cups granulated sugar. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 4 large eggs. 1 cup whole milk. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp almond extract. 1 tbsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. Edible gold sequins for decoration. Edible gold dust for dusting. Cupcake liners.
Instructions: Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. One egg at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition. Add the almond and vanilla extracts and mix well. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing them in with the milk every so often. Start with the dry ingredients and end with the milk. Don't mix any further than that. Two-thirds of the way to the top of each cupcake liner should be full of batter. After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. Take the cupcakes out of the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, move them to a wire rack to finish cooling. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, you can add edible gold sequins to them by pressing them gently onto the frosting or sticking them on with edible glue. For an extra shimmery look, sprinkle edible gold dust on top of the cupcakes. Give your lovely Golden Anniversary Cupcakes to people and enjoy them! Don't forget to take lots of pictures to remember this important moment!
