The Ms. Colegian Pageant: Celebrating Beauty, Brains, and Empowerment
The Ms. Colegian Pageant is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of the many talents and qualities that define today's modern woman. Designed for college-aged participants, the pageant offers young women the platform to showcase not only their beauty but also their intelligence, poise, and dedication to personal and academic excellence. This year’s Ms. Colegian Pageant proved once again that beauty truly comes from within.
Ms. Colegian Pageant has become a symbol of empowerment, offering contestants the chance to challenge stereotypes and redefine what it means to be a “pageant queen.” Unlike traditional beauty contests, the focus here is on a well-rounded, multi-dimensional individual. Contestants are judged on a combination of attributes including academic achievements, leadership abilities, community involvement, and talent, making the competition about more than just appearance.
This year, the title of Ms. Colegian went to Ms. Shai Lei Guico a Education major who has been dedicated to promoting social equality . Shai's speech during the interview round about advocating enequality because we are equal in the eyes of the Lord, struck a chord with the judges, and her dedication to improving the world around her made her a standout in the competition. As she donned the crown, it was clear that she was ready to represent the pageant’s values in her academic and personal endeavors.
As the pageant continues to grow, so too does its impact. With each passing year, the Ms. Colegian Pageant becomes a platform for young women to elevate their voices, share their passions, and work towards making a lasting change in the world. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for these incredible young women, and for the pageant that continues to empower them every step of the way.
