This is Taka Makassar and it is located near Komodo Island and Manta Point. It’s not really an island but a stretch of sandbank that emerged from the water. Wae Rebo under the morning sun. Everyone who has been here said it was worth the trip. . How to get there: - 6 hours by van from Labuan Bajo. Get ready with your medicine because it is a 3-hour of winding road and another 3-hour of damaged road. . Tips: try to arrange a day ride instead of at night. You'd feel less nauseated when you can see the road. I have been on the trip twice, both at night and day, and it's always better in the sunlight. . - 3 hours of hiking from Denge to Wae Rebo. Personally, I reckon that the trek is considered easy with no more than 35° climb at most parts. No training, no worries. Climb at your own pace. Stay the night in Wae Rebo village so that you won't have to rush. . If you can stay a night before hiking to Wae Rebo Village, I totally recommend a stay here at Wae Rebo Lodge. It is located in the middle of paddy field. What it lack in amenities, it wins with its panoramic three-sixty views of Mules Island, the sea, paddy fields and mountains. I'll update the rate here soon. Check out this post again.
