Everton 0 - 2 Manchester United
United get all three points and jump up to third after defeating Everton at home by 2 goals to nil. United looked extremely lively and composed during the first have and had plenty of chances but were unable to convert them due to Pickford being in top form today. It took nearly to halftime for United to find the back of the net thanks to McTominay.
The second half saw Martial come on and score United’s second goal of the game. Eriksen returned to the pitch for United after several months on the sidelines due to an ankle injury he suffered in January.
Unfortunately the second half also saw two injuries with one being more worrisome than the other. Maguire seems to have injured his hamstring but was able to continue the rest of the match (he also had a fairly good game today, it should be noted). A pinpoint accurate pass from Eriksen found Rashford but he pulled up before making any real connection with the ball clutching his groin area. After he slowly made his way around the pitch, he made his way straight down the tunnel looking distraught.
Next up for United is the first leg of the Europa League Quarter-final against Sevilla on 13 April followed by a Premier League match against Forest.
