20. Pulse point

The next time she calls you over, it’s only after a long barrage of angry messages, filled with curses in at least seven different lovecraftian dialects directed at God knows what. You were convinced they were for you - maybe she felt extra aggressive today? - but after she started asking for help, you figured you were off the hook (this time).

You didn’t even get the chance to put on your usual attire for her (or… take it off), in less than five minutes you were at your transportalizer, zapping all the way to her house and crisis.

You rushed through the place - as messy as always, it had been a while since you’ve visited - only to find her at the counter, in her kitchen.

"This malevolent metallic utensil had the audacity to burn my skin," she spat at the guilty teapot, hissing as she held onto her pulse, a very obvious red flare spreading across her palm.

You couldn’t help but chuckle at first, but you immediately regretted it as you saw the look she sent your way. Grinning apologetically, instead you took her pulse, brought it to your lips to kiss sweetly, promising her your first aid kid was on ready and she didn’t have to kill anyone.

They way her free hand came to pet your hair only made your grin wider against her skin, allowing the kiss to linger.
