♞— River was obviously getting tired of this long and annoying process that the other vampire was putting him through, with the constant pulling of his hair and placing of ribbons. ♞— Finally the day had arrived that River broke free from that damned man’s grasp. He was free by god it was the best feeling in the world, to not have to worry about the ‘love’ beatings his master so generously gave out to him every day. Taking in a deep breath it was his first taste of freedom, for a new life for the first time in god knows how long. The man he despised was probably so far gone from him by now he wouldn’t even notice River was gone until it was too late. A smile worked up onto River’s face as he stared triumphantly back into the forest before yelling. 

❝ I’M FINALLY FREE FROM YOU, YOU BASTARD, AND I’M NEVER COMING BACK. ❞ 

♞— And that’s when he heard a rustle in the trees.
