A Bug In The System <Closed RP>

Normal wasn’t the term to be used with this virus. Then again, a lot of the people he knew couldn’t be considered normal. But with the computer on the stranger’s desk hissing to life, it was a welcoming ‘gift’ from the glitch. 

Glancing at the stranger from within the monitor, the dull buzz of it being forced on occasionally being interrupted with the sharp ‘pop’ of a fuse inside the electronic bursting, he gave a grin the devil surely would’ve hated. “ᴰᵒⁿ’ᵗ ᵍᵒ ˡᵉᵃᵛᶦⁿ’ ʸ’ᵉʳ ᵗʰᶦⁿᵍˢ ᵖˡᵘᵍᵍᵉᵈ ᶦⁿ” he warned as another sharp noise came from within the computer.

“It’s nothing..” he muttered and opened the door. “Please don’t leave..” he whispered, barely audible. He hoped that she would hear him, but the other part of her wanted nothing more than for her to get out of his life

Mare emerged, and he clearly wasn’t himself. He was basically mumbling and didn’t seem happy or even sinister in any way. Mireya hadn’t heard him. “You don’t look so good... Maybe you should take a nap, or something?” She suggested. Of course, that would give her time to run around, but the house seemed to work in the siren’s favour more than her own. “Can I do anything...?”

Patton was close behind her, grabbed and necessary comforting tool he could. “It’s okay, kiddo.” He tried to comfort her once they got to the bathroom. “Can I take your temperature?”

Mireya just about made it to the bathroom, but not quite to the toilet, upheaving in the tub instead. At least it wouldn’t be so difficult to wash away, but the burning in her throat and the overall unsettled feeling had the poorly girl in tears. She only gave an affirming hum in response, wiping her tired eyes with the back of her hands, sitting on the lid of the lavatory that had been set down. Well, she probably wouldn’t be at school tomorrow.

Virgil shook his head. “Not right now….maybe later. Okay? I just wanna cuddle and relax.” He said quietly, pulling the blankets over them

The blankets were pulled up, the two tucked in and snuggled tight. After so many years lacking a connection like this, Mireya was perfectly comfortable, although it was a shame it was born of Virge suffering a nightmare. “Maybe in the morning.” She suggested, tilting her head to give the anxious Side a quick kiss. “Sleep tight.” At least her alarm was set a bit later this morning, so maybe he wouldn’t be rattled awake if he ended up staying.
