Eichhornia azurea var. ‘Red Stem’ gently swaying in the current. The small bubbles are bubbles of pure oxygen from photosynthesis since the water can become saturated with oxygen under sufficient light, enough plants and enough CO2 present.

My Eichhornia azurea ‘red stem’ transitioned to emersed growth while I stored it at the surface of my tank, which is bad because it’s one of the few plants that won’t transition back to submersed; The only way to produce submersed growth is by cutting of the tip an letting it sprout anew underwater.
