Jewellery chest belonging to Sithahoriunet, a king's daughter (possibly of Senruset II) of the 12th Dynasty (Middle Kingdom).  Found at the village El Lahun, in the city Faiyum.

The wood of the chest was reconstructed based on the excavator's notes.  The other materials are ebony, ivory, gold, carnelian, blue faience and silver.  The chest is 36.7cm high, 46cm long, and 32.5cm wide.

The gold djed pillars on the side are symbols of the funerary god Osiris, and represent stability.  The emblems on the lid are of Hathor, the goddess of beauty.
