These are a few ideas I had for us as the reader in my upcoming Eclipsed Library stuff. I'm hoping to write and post on Ao3, but I'm not the greatest at finishing things, lol. ANYWAYS, here's a few things we need to remember as the readers!!
We have a little brother, Sammy, who's four years old.
Sammy is in our care because our mother is sick and in the hospital. He doesn't understand, and constantly is asking when Mommy is coming home.
We desperately needed a job, got one, and now we cant care for Sammy, so we drop him off at the Eclipsed Library and Daycare (ELD)
Our mother's hospital bills are piling up.
we are 24.
it SEEMS that Icarus (Winged Sun, I named him) and Eclipse are quite fond of each other.
Candy isn't too keen on us, but grows to like us over time
We're a regular customer
I've just been thinking of silly things and these are a few.
"Welcome to the Eclipsed Library and Daycare, New Friend! How many I help you today? If you're a new check in and/or are submitting a child into our Daycare Program, I'll ask you to please fill out this paperwork right here,"
Semi-Sentient Sunrise points to a stack of paperwork sitting on the desk in front of [YOU],
"and submit it back to me when finished. If you are a recurring member, I'll need you to show me your Eclipsed Library Card so you can check in. If you are an animatronic, I ask that you take yourself to the self-check-in kiosk over on the right and plug yourself in, please. Thank you, and have a nice day!"
"Hello, Friend! My name is Icarus! I'm the caretaker here in the Eclipsed Library's adjacent Daycare! I'll be the one to care for your child(ren) while you go off and read, or while you go to work! I'm so happy to invite your little one into our land of play, where the sky is hardly the limit! Here in the Eclipsed Daycare, your child(ren) willbe able to climb, colour, nap, play, and so much more!!! You can trust us with your child(ren)'s safety and well being! Thank you so much for choosing us!"
"I'm Moondust; I'm in charge of naptime, infants, and the Calm Corner in the Eclipsed Daycare. I'm described as calm and collected by my co-workers, and I thoroughly enjoy taking care of little ones. Like Icarus said, thank you so much for choosing us! We're honoured."

FOR THE LIBRARY:
No running.
Be respectful to library staff and materials.
Stay out of staff-oriented areas.
No climbing on bookshelves.
Stay quiet within the library sections; put cell phones on silent mode and use headphones when interacting with audio devices.
No food and drink in the library sections; there's a cafe for a reason.
FOR THE DAYCARE:
No cursing
No running
No hitting
Children are not allowed behind the check-in/check-out desk.
PARENTS: PLEASE BE SURE YOUR CHILD IS IN FULL HEALTH BEFORE ADMITTING THEM TO THE DAYCARE. IF YOUR CHILD IS ILL, HAS A TEMPERATURE, OR HAS COME IN CONTACT WITH CONTAGOUS DISEASES WITHIN THE PAST THREE DAYS, DO NOT SIGN THEM IN. THANK YOU.

I want to take a moment to thank you all for coming in and enjoying my library, because it's my pride and joy and I worked very hard on it. Here at ELD, we have any book you could possibly think of. From fantasy to nonfiction, and beyond; we have it all. I want to let you know that this here is a safe space for all, and we're happy to have you."
Mod here: This is an ask blog for my Eclipsed Library and Daycare (or ELD) AU. I'm currently working on revamping this blog back up, and I'm planning on making references for the guys soon. Might even add a couple more to man the cafe and as janitorial/reshelving staff. I'll probably have a couple of STAFF bots, too, but I'm not sure yet.
Currently the characters are as follows (will link their refs to their names once I have them done!):
Eclipse: Sometimes called "Clipse" or "Clip," he's the head of the ELD, and keeps things running smoothly. He has a portal in his back office and pulls in DCA models from other universes who he sees as dying, alone, or in danger.
Icarus: A Sun DCA with wings; the first one Eclipse saved. His frame is light and thin to accomodate the ability to fly; he can't fly very far or very high, nor can he fly very fast. It's more of a performance thing than an actual useful trait. He runs the "daytime" part of the daycare and is mildly scared of the dark.
Semi-Sentient Sunrise: Usually called "Semi" by the other Staff (and on his nametag), Semi runs the checkout desk and handles the paperwork for signing new children into the Daycare. He checks books in and out of the system, handles replacing damaged books, and usually is the first face you see upon opening the front doors. As his full name suggests, he's not as sentient as the other members of the ELD, but he does just fine as a desk clerk. He also likes to wear old man attire.
Moondust: This variant of the Moon DCA is incredibly softspoken and calm, and prefers the darkness. He has issues with bright lights and loud sounds, but can deal with them if he must. He's usually the one who prefers to clean up the Daycare at closing time.
Bloodmoon: One of the only janitorial staff, Bloodmoon is a set of conjoined nano twins named Maim and Mischief. They clean the library up at night and, when they have free time, they terrorise Candy and/or Clip.
Candy Eclipse: Candy prefers not to speak to guests, unless he's reinforcing the rules. He's the only security in the place, and has a heavy Southern accent that he's very shy of. Typically, he hides from sight unless he sees a rule being broken. As his name suggests, he's made to look like he's made of candy.
I'll try and respond to some of the asks with art, but it's not a promise, lol. I don't really have many rules in the way of asks, but I will mention that I won't really get personal on this blog.
