Yeehawgust 2022, Day 4: Strange Hoofbeats.  I have totally neglected yeehawgust so far and yeah its day 5 but I got no ideas for the other days so HA. Anyway. Messing around with brushes and figuring things out. Also Eldritch Cowboy.

I Want Your Love (But Maybe Not Tonight)

Full lips soft against his. 

The press of Raiden’s thighs on either side of his lap.

The feeling of his rough hands sliding through Jonny’s hair.

It was all...too much. 

Outside, the moon was full, the wind sent bushes of sage dancing gently in time, rabbits skittered from the cover of rock to rock. 

Inside Hellbender’s, Jonny pulled away from Raiden, his heart pounding, his breath a little too quick. He watched the pink of the other’s tongue swipe gently against kiss-bruised lips, his pale eyes almost a dark gray with desire. He could feel Raiden’s interest clearly in his lap, through the denim of his worn jeans. 

“What’s wrong?” He asked huskily, his drawl thick. Something about it made Jonny hesitate. With the only light the flickering static blue of the TV, it threw shadows across Raiden’s broad, high cheekbones. His expression was hungry, wanting. Those entrancing eyes watched him from beneath thick lashes. 

He looked...inhuman. 

The notion was quickly lost the longer Jonny’s silence continued, Raiden’s brow furrowing in concern. “Jonny?”

He shook his head, reaching out to touch the other’s jawline, bringing them back in, closer. “It’s nothing,” he muttered, confidence lost. 

But Raiden wouldn’t let him distract. 

With a frown, the other pulled away from that hand, his own reaching out to smooth down the army jacket that Jonny never shed. It was meant to be reassuring, but it only made him more uneasy. “What’s going on in that handsome head of yours, honeypie?” Raiden begged with his eyes, and that was all it took to make Jonny fold. 

“I don’t…” he muttered. “You won’t like it.”

He watched as the other shifted in his lap, the sound of leather scraping gently across itself loud in the quiet of the backroom.  

“I’d rather you tell me anyway. Not interested?”

“What-” Jonny shook his head vehemently. “No! It’s not-” he huffed, pulling Raiden closer again, dropping his forehead to the broad chest. He could feel the mellowing heartbeat that thud-thudded through a worn band t-shirt. “It’s not that. I am interested. It’s just…” His ears went red.

He felt Raiden’s hands touch his face, caress his cheekbones, slide through his hair. Lips pressed gently to the crown of his skull. Raiden didn’t say anything. He was endlessly patient. Endlessly calm. In such a small town, it was a rarity to find someone he trusted so much. Something about it relaxed him, made the words come easier. “I am interested. Just...overwhelmed. It’s so embarrassing, but…” He trailed off again, grasping for words. 

Raiden hummed softly in understanding, the sound rumbling through his chest. “Not tonight?” He murmured, his hands moving to slide over Jonny’s shoulders, down his back. He felt the man nod against his sternum. 

“Not tonight, Rai.”

Raiden nodded gently. “Okay. Wanna watch a movie, then? I hear The Craft was good.” 

He felt the man beneath him snort. “You would like that movie.” Jonny sounded irritable, but as he finally looked up, Raiden could see he was smirking. 

Raiden chuckled. “Absolutely. Witches are my jam.” He slid off of Jonny’s lap as the man rose, his hand going down the length of the other’s shoulder to catch at his hand. 

“Hey. Don’t ever worry I won’t like something you say. I’m here for you, Jonny. Good or bad.”

The rare smile that warmed Jonny’s face, lit it up and made Raiden’s breath catch, was all the response he needed in return.

I wanted to make a Eldritch Horror/god disguised as a cowboy. That’s really just it.

Name: RETRACTED Nickname: Ritch

So basically Ritch was trapped inside a crystal coffin by another cult, this was for a couple thousand years til modern day where they began to fade away slowly being cut off from the mortal world, lacking knowledge and so forth. So a crew of thieves made by @littleanomaly were hired by a cult to find and steal this coffin, and they end up cracking that bad open and finding a creature of the ancient world inside. At that point, Ritch was a little slime ball of tentacles and eyes and barely had a voice. Well they realized that, they kinda had a god on their hands, that maybe giving a cult would be a BAD thing. Most of the crew gets attached and Ritchy learns more, getting their power back slowly, getting a better form to a slender man like thing, (they are trying) so they learn more about humans, to gather up a form and they end up like watching broke back mountain and really liking cowboys. So they make a cocoon, bake in there for a couple weeks and pop out comes a cowboy.

Most likely sounds like Jack Gyllenhaal. And cannot fully hide their appearance hence the eyes. They can summon a steed from beyond and does help the thief crew from time to time, mostly trying to get a life now in this mortal world but little do they know that cult that locked them up is still around along with the OTHER elderitch god that believes they are worthless and should be exterminated.
