The charity ball and silent auction was a success! Over a hundred people attended, mostly in gorgeous ball gowns and nice suits, and all sixteen items were bid on! Thank you for your support and donations! We raised over $500 for Ele's Place. A full total of this weekend's donations will be announced soon! ((pictured above is myself and my ballroom partner for the event.))
Ooc here because my Ooc blog is being mean. The ball was a success! I got to chat it up with Super Guitar Bros! We raised over $500 for Ele's Place in the one hour event! Totally know this will happen again. Thank you all for your help!

I recently began my second 3-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of Ele’s Place, a healing center for grieving children and teens. I am extremely honored to be on the board of a non-profit that I am so passionate about!
I would like to invite you to attend an Ele’s Place Tour of the Heart on Wednesday, September 10th from 8:30am to 9:30am to learn more about what families do at Ele’s Place and the positive impact it has on them.

Through peer support group programs, Ele’s Place helps children to cope with the death or life-threatening illness of a parent, sibling or other close family member or friend.
Before coming to Ele’s Place, many grieving children feel alone and keep their feelings inside, not wanting to burden their parents or other family members. Often friends don’t seem to understand if they haven’t had a similar experience. But each week at Ele’s Place, hundreds of grieving children find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel. Some children learn how to cope with a family member’s illness, while others begin to heal after the death of a loved one.
I would like to invite you to attend an Ele’s Place Tour of the Heart on Tuesday, August 19th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm to learn more about what children do at Ele’s Place and the positive impact it has on them.

Get Involved with Ele’s Place

There are several ways to get involved and help Ele’s Place:
Volunteer as a Chilren’s Support Group Facilitator
Become an Ele’s Place Ambassador – provide basic information at community outreach events; help with tours at Ele’s Place; deliver information to schools, funeral homes and doctor’s offices.
Coordinate a mini-fundraiser – a simple dress-down day or pop can drive at work really helps!
Donate items from the Ele’s Place Wish List
Be a table captain at the new upcoming fundraising Breakfast
Make a donation - making a financial contribution to Ele’s Place goes a long way.
