This is a stereo sample to support a group Final Year Project, our project is an installation on the emerging of two art forms, audio and visuals. Which have been provided with cutting edge technologies to enhance and stimulate our participants environment through 5.1 surround sound and 3D projection mapping.
This audio is based on sound synthesis and influenced by the study of sound vs. science …as electro acoustics vs. Cymatics (sound as a visual form). This audio sequence will be synced to the visuals projected (Cymatic visual creation part) of the installation.
Further sound design influence and inspiration formed from 432Hz tuning (calmer frequency) and series of audio treatment of instrumented samples and recordings.
Please listen with a decent pair of headphones/monitors as there is a lot of deliberate low frequencies composed to bear the experimental purpose of the Cymatics projection.
Today on our electro-acoustics lecture the prof told us of some spying devices and showed one to us. It looked like a huge gun with an antenna and a receiver on one end and ‘telescopic sight’ on the other. We attached headphones to it but the thing didnt work. “Say something” – we asked our coursemate V., who was standing 30feet away from us, “You stupid jerks” – whispered he while we tried to hear something in the headphones. But he whispered too loud and we heard it naturally. Hahah. The system didnt work, but we got so interested, guys weren’t being lazy even and ran to fetch new batteries. The rest of the lectures we spent laughing our asses off running down the departments’ corridors listening to the private conversations behind the closed doors. I swear it was awesome! Each time somebody spotted us – oh – if you could see their and our faces! And the prof was laughing at us. Oh man.
