Neirin grinned as he held the fishing rod over his shoulder, bright teal eyes glancing around him as he made his way through the forest. He’d been to this spot a few times before and it was always ripe for the picking. Settling himself upon a rock, tugging his hat down further to block the bit of sun that peaked through the dense trees, he spotted movement in the corner of his eye. He blinked, turning to glance at the woman who had just appeared. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize someone else was here, am I disturbing you?”

                kaelin froze. did he just compare cooking to mathematics? uh-oh. i mean she was the one who told him to think of it like his other interests...which she was starting to regret immensely. in a way...it was. the measuring of the ingredients, the mixtures to figure out which flavors suited the dish you were creating  — it was trial and error. it could be applied to mathematics! she refused to dwell on it any longer.               moving to give elliot a reassuring pat she grabbed the sheet of paper, instructions written neatly down the page with little drawings of the proper pans, seasonings, and oils to use. it was a surprise, really. kaelin didn’t expect him to say yes. when you had others to cook for you, why would you want to try it yourself? at the time, she thought it would be fun...and he would be able to know how to cook at least one thing himself...that was the goal.              the ingredients were already taken care of. laid out on the table in front of them was vegetable oil, thai curry paste, a yellow onion, broccoli florets, black pepper, carrots, dried basil, three garlic cloves, coconut milk, a can of diced tomatoes, chicken stock, and a lime. now, it was time to get cooking.                     ❝ don’t worry, i’ll guide you step by step! ❞                kae quickly wrapped a short arm around elliot’s torso, giving it a soft squeeze. she knew how intimidating cooking for the first time could be, flashbacks from her lessons with her grandmother ran through her mind and she shuddered. this was one of the easiest recipes she knew...and? it was delicious!

         To humans, it was quite obvious that Ryouta was less than pleasant to them. However, animals were a COMPLETELY different story. Seeing a kit fox wandering around his penthouse building was entirely unexpected and perhaps he SHOULDN’T be approaching it, but the environmentalist in him couldn’t help himself. Cautiously, he places down some berries he had in his backpack, putting them on the ground for the creature.  ❝ Here you go, little buddy... ❞
