#elemental anthology

Idk how many of these guys will be actual characters in the actual anthology chapter, but this is a standard Troo Mountain Lion! Aside from the spikes around their necks, which all of them have, the other patches of spikes grow in more random places on their body. The spots shown here are the most common though.

I imagine there's a bit of color variation, but not nearly as much variety in what stones grow out of their body, unlike Troo Mountain Goats which can have basically any kind of rock ever. The Lions basically always just have these.

Finally designed this thing. The begrudging antagonist of the Fire chapter in the Elemental Anthology, Tybian the Heatseeker Dragon!

Heatseeker Dragons hunt and swallow Phoenixes whole, storing them in their glass throat-pouch, absorbing the heat given off by them (or they swallow shed feathers, which also give off heat but not infinitely). The only other reliable way to sustain a Heatseeker long-term is to find and claim a volcano. Any Heatseeker family is bound to eventually cause their dwelling-volcano to go dormant, heat absorption turning magma back to rock.

Thus, Tybian arriving poses a problem for the Cassowary family, as they live on a volcano.

Redesigned Rosco the Chroma. Because I had an idea for a Mythcre anthology he could feature in and I wanted something slightly less annoying to draw ;; also designed the character who will sever his attunement. Because I needed that toooooooo

Final character refs for the anthology I think! The three mages of the water chapter! I'm impressed with myself for seeing this through as far as I have, with this project especially because measuring my progress is more linear than usual. Like wow :D

Nature chapter characters for the anthology! I'm getting a bit ahead of myself seeing as I'm not even done with the Wind chapter yet, but I felt like it would help me brainstorm if I had them all drawn anyway. Since I'm not entirely positive yet about exactly what happens in the Nature chapter.

This is The Five-Leaf Council, shown in order of seniority. Daisy Neck's been there the longest, whilst Mistletoe Ear has their first meeting ever during the chapter itself. They pick a plant, plant it on themself, and use their magic to keep it fresh and alive. They use codenames to refer to each other, relating to said plant and its placement. Everyone's judging Mistletoe Ear hard for picking a plant with three syllables.

Ok, this time FOR REAL, Cirrius's ref pic! I decided to go and polish this one with proper stripes and way too many layers. I think she turned out super cute! Now I can actually start writing her chapter of the anthology asjdflhadsljf

I'm just gonna look up sky pictures and color pick them. Cirrius v3. I think the way I've been drawing the clouds has been one of the things I'm getting stuck on so like. Let's experiment a little with that

Attempt 2 at Cirrius. More in line with the colored version I drew in php. Like it a lot more, but something still feels off.

I imagine Sky Tigers only rarely have a visible sun or moon on them, so it's considered a sign of good fortune. Unlike the rest of their body, which just reflects their birth sky, the presence of a celestial body is entirely random.
