@Regrann from @rhino18181 - @Regrann from @laramorrissey - No words needed - except for the following, voiced below by my dear friend, Fiona. Per usual she has so eloquently expressed why it is that it's so important for every one of us to raise our voices for elephants. She is a truly beautiful human being, and I am forever grateful to know that our beloved giants have a warrior such as herself fighting so hard for them. Thank you, @fiona_hardie, SO MUCH, for all that you do on behalf of these magnificent beings. You make this world we live in a better place, and I am so proud to call you my friend. 🐘💜 #elephantwarrior #Repost @fiona_hardie ・・・ I know this may be difficult to watch and this is most certainly not about upsetting anyone who watches this video or follows my page. My purpose is to show the impossible threats that our elephants face in the wild. There is a point where it is beyond cute, there is the reality to face, the reality of the cruelty, physically, mentally and emotionally that elephants suffer at the hands of those who want to harm them. I stay out of politics on this page, my page is for the love of elephants, however it is due to this love that I want to say something today... Our courts and our governments must put the interests of our elephants at the forefront of conservation and preservation. If they don't and allow hunters to kill and then allow those to take trophy kills home, zoos to take from the wild, poachers to kill our tuskers and the mothers there simply will no longer be a fight. I'm mindful that some countries in Africa think they have enough elephants and that conservation is not as important, they can afford to lose a few.....With this thought in mind, they allow hunting, they allow countries to buy wild elephants and ship them to foreign lands. Think, a life spent in a zoo. Imagine 40- 50 years in captivity, if they survive. They call it conservation! They allow the legal ivory trade, which encourages the illegal trade, how can you identify legally obtained Ivory from illegally obtained Ivory? One rule, Ban Ivory! Elephants are migratory. You can't count them and say...oh we have enough, doesn't matter to lose a few
