Sugar and spice and everything nice -- okay, sometimes she comes off with a touch more spice from time to time than she likes to admit. Those moments often are saved for when she's pushed to her limits, will her extra witty and snappy side rear its head. Other than that you'll typically find a laid back, easy going, down for a good time and adventure kind of personality. One that's always willing to make friends with anyone but isn't worried about being part of the in crowd either. To her she's all about being the most authentically herself no matter what anyone else expects.

Eliana was born in the beautiful coastal city of San Diego, California to two teenagers who were a little on the wild side. Her mother came from a strict upbringing of an ultra conservative, religious family, that didn't believe in abortion, but also didn't believe in having their teenage daughter being known as the the girl who brought a child into the world out of wedlock. When her parents got involved, Eliana's father couldn't marry the woman who was her biological mother knowing what her parents, grandparents, and what would be expected of him. Plus, he was only a teenager himself, he wasn't looking or ready to raise a baby barely, let alone become someone's husband as well. Michael did however make a deal with her parents to be the one to raise the baby, her mother could have a clean start, and in mid-fall she was handed over to her father and he began his life as a single, teenage father.

Growing up Eliana never felt like she was missing out on anything in life, she had grandparents on her father's side that took care of her while her father went to school and worked, and a father that was completely committed to being everything one little girl needed who didn't have a mother. While she was aware growing up that her friends had mothers that took them to school, to dance class, and other things, Eliana had her father. The teenage years were much more interesting and creative in the household, mostly on her father's part, to keep her educated on her changing body and boys. While embarrassing then she appreciate the time he took with her no matter how uncomfortable the subject matter.

Never once did she attempt to pry information into his past with her biological mother or her family, never having felt the need. At the time she felt completely whole, like she wasn't missing any part of her because the truth was, she wasn't. To her it was her father and her versus the world, and they made a great little team. He showed up to all of her soccer games, theater plays, dance recitals, and never complained once. When she was sixteen her father met and started dating the woman who would, legally, go on to become her step-mother, but would be her actual mom in her life. Bethany welcomed her into her life, and her family did as well, with open arms like she was her own daughter without even the slightest hesitation, she understood that Eliana was Michael's pride and joy and that would always -- and should always -- be the most important thing.

Building a relationship with a mother type figure was so natural and easy for her, it's something Eliana will always be grateful for Bethany showing up at the right time. She became someone to talk to about her crushes, take her shopping for dresses for school formals and proms, and deal with the full spectrum of teenage emotions without blinking an eye. It's something she know she can never repay for being the mom she didn't need to be.

When she was twenty one she found herself in a relationship with a woman, her first relationship where she openly acknowledge her attraction to both women and men. It wasn't always easy but Emily was a special girl that knew how to make her smile during the hardest days as she was finishing up her degree at university. While her father and non-biological mother were supportive, it was around this time that her mother's biological family was attempting to reach and find her. After long talks with her father, he let her know why things had gone sideways, due to religious and conservative beliefs and he worried for her own safety.

All she gave them was a short phone call, and letting them know who she was in a relationship with, and she never heard from them again. It proved what she always knew, that piece of her wasn't missing. Emily and Eliana dated for a solid few years before parting ways. Eliana took the end of the relationship incredibly hard and moved from the apartment back in with her parents who were understanding and attempted to be there for the first person who broke her heart. After finishing her master degrees she kind of floated for a bit working 9-5 jobs before switching to 6-2pm jobs, spending those afternoons sitting on the beaches meditating and getting more in touch with who she was and wanted to be as a person.

It wasn't until Cory that she gave dating another chance. He was charming, handsome, and everything you could, and should, want in a partner, but something continued to hold her back afraid something or something would ruin a great, wonderful relationship with an amazing guy. So, Eliana this time walked away despite not really wanting to, thinking it was for the best. It broke her heart yet again, and she found herself back at her parents.

This time with her parents advice that maybe it was time for her to try something different. To go somewhere new and get a completely new start outside of San Diego. In the most free-spirited way you could expect out of Eliana she put up a map of the United States on the wall and threw a dart at it, landing on Merrock, Maine. A little town she had never heard of before and square on the other side of the country. With her parents last bit of encouragement she packed up a U-Haul and made her way from San Diego to the small, quiet town of Merrock and settled in.

Meeting Kennedy was one of the best people she first met when she moved to town, she was warm and welcoming to someone who didn't have a clue about anything about Merrock. She was someone like minded and a friendship blossomed, and that eventually turned into them talking about a business that eventually flourished. While she takes on a lot of the financial aspects of working on the books, she's as equally skilled working with people and party planning. For the first time she felt like she has a purpose and a job she loves and a life she's really beginning to feel like is starting to feel her own.
