"oh god" she whispers under her breath when she sees him coming. she should have expected it, really, the way he takes her into his arms, lifts her up and hugs her tightly. it was caleb after all. "caleb!" she’s laughing while she’s hitting his arm, ordering for him to put her down, "caleb, thank you so much, love you long time, but there are people here, you’re going to hit one of them!"

happy birthday dearest mila

"mila, happy birthday my love! caleb, amelia and i have planned something amazing for you, we figured that turning 18 is a big deal right? so we had the perfect gift planned just for you!" the youngest grinned, before slipping a blindfold over her eyes. "sorry but you can’t see it yet, it’s a surprise." she said and took her hand and lead her through the academy grounds.

guiding them towards the middle of the courtyard, lia giggled softly, hers, caleb’s and amelia’s idea was going to surprise the older girl. “when i count to three, i’ll remove the blindfold.” nodding towards caleb and her cousin she gave a thumbs up as the signal to get everything ready.

"one, two, three….happy birthday mila~!" the three yelled out before lia removed the blindfold to show a jumping castle in the middle of the academy grounds.

"is our gift awesome or what?"

she stares, dumbfounded, at the event happening before her. no… they couldnt have…. lo and behold standing before her was a jumping castle. a fully functional, three times her height, apparently her birthday gift, jumping castle. this can’t be real. it just can’t be. 

"no… where’s ashton kutcher? you—them—this—no" she’s trying to excuse everything up to a television show that hasn’t aired in well over five years. there was no way this could be happening, let alone be happening to her. she just managed to get away from the ball pit in her room and now she was faced with a jumping castle?

"liliana celeste tremaine!" rarely does she use full names but she couldnt figure any other way to express her distinct disbelief. "you and i are going to complete one round on this jumping castle and then you are in so much trouble. you can’t have this here? i’ll be forced to give you detention… unless you’ve spoken to the principal. nonetheless this is an obvious rule breaker! i’m pretty sure… i’m hysterical, seriously guys, what is this?!"

"I still can’t get ‘coming round the mountain’ out of my mind. It’s like one of those phrases, like ‘drop it like it’s hot’ that I really wish I’d never heard."

"here, i’ll sing something else to get that out of your head" with a smirk, she looks the other square in the eyes, before breaking out into an acoustic rendition of a song she knows will annoy him: "nice legs, daisy ducks, makes a man go woot, woot!"

Shouting his teachers name all throughout the corridors, he came running into his office with a cake in hand, almost tripping over nothing, "MR KENOBI! I HEARD IT WAS YOUR BIRTHDAY!" he panted a little, and made his way to the desk and set the cake down "happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear bash~ happy birthday to you." he sang before pulling out confetti out of pocket and throwing it into the air. "for a wish, wish for the science bros to take over the world."

He hears his name sung through the corridors and can instantly match a student to the voice. He shuts his eyes, somehow hoping to disappear before Caleb can arrive, but of course powers do not work in Elias and he’s stuck smiling at the student as he almost trips over nothing and pants while holding a cake. “Caleb —” and when the confetti hits, he stands from his seat and hugs the other, hoping to use this awkward encounter of affection as a weapon to make the younger boy leave him alone. “—Thanks for the cake”

in what universe did you think this was okay? [ ! though she knows it an obvious joke, caleb was never this crude with her, she was not someone he acted like this around, she wanted to use it as an excuse to bully him. she raises her fist, punching him on the shoulder ] hows that for a ten?

"mr. robinson!" everything in her body was pushing her to raise a hand and slap him for his behaviour but then she realises that this was caleb. who, regardless of what her husband says, is normally a nice boy. this was either a joke or a dare or maybe both? either way, she laughs into her palm, shaking her head at him; "can you go annoy someone else? before i send you to the principal for lewd behaviour"
