Where: The Crow & Chalice
Thera turned the thimble over in her hand. The pure silver etched sides glinted in the candlelight but the part that really interested her was the opal encrusted in the crown of thimble. It reminded her of a story her Grandmama had once told her…a story of a Wendell who had abused the threads.
Thera shook her head before carefully placing the thimble on a shelf. Fraus had probably just thought this was a different kind of shiny, she was surprised he hadn’t tried to swallow the strange stone.
Thera stood to take one last pot of tea off the burner. She had stayed in her shop for the evening even though she knew Cide was probably back in the house. He needed his space…they both did.
It hadn’t been a rainy day but a faint drizzle had started outside when she heard a knock on the door.
It was late for a customer, but not really when you took the timeline’s of some of their clientele into account. As Thera opened the door her face cracked into a smile, “Ella! How nice it is to see you. I’ve been meaning to swing by the apothecary and see you and Kiri. Come in. Come in. I just made a pot of tea but I can also offer you almost anything else.”
