pacific rim drive suit cosplay….making (very slooow) progress…
this is the first time i’m attempting a cosplay of this magnitude. (i usually just choose characters who wear semi-regular clothes…like ash ketchum….or something.) in three months, i’ve sketched some basic instructions, made a bodyform thingy, experimented with different materials, and painted some stuff. SDCC is coming up next month, and i don’t think i can finish (x_x)
real life cosplay is so much more difficult than youtube & tumblr tutorials make it seem :|
------------------------- EDIT: okay...so, in my frustration with this cosplay, i forgot to mention that the thermoplastic helmet was made by a friend of a friend!! his name is igor pinsky. his etsy shop is MrPinskiProps.
i'm using my phone to edit this post (before anyone else thinks i'm crafty enough to sculpt and mold a helmet (the only thing i had to do with the helmet was sanding, cutting (with a dremel, and painting)). i'm not sure how to add a hyperlink here, but i'll totes edit this post again and add the link when i get home! i apologize if i misled anyone!
