It was magical. It was almost perfect. It brought me to a different kind of high. It made me feel alive.
It was all just a dream. A dream that faded slowly each second that passes by upon waking up and opening these darn eyes.
I could go back and savor each moment I was there. When we were still able to see the stars. When your smile mirrored mine. And my smile mirrored yours.
'Cause now, I'm wide awake. I now know the truth. I can now see which is real and which is fake.
I understand. 'Cause at least it taught me something. I got to know myself better. Now...
I know my heart is stronger and my mind is better... :)
I can still love you... Still with the same amount, but just on a different level. :)
Ordinary Day, Vanessa Carlton
Just a day, Just an ordinary day.
Just a boy, Just an ordinary boy.
But he was looking to the sky.
And as he asked if I would come along
Just what he's looking for,
Like a shooting star he shines.
Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand?
And as he spoke, he spoke ordinary words
Although they did not feel
For I felt what I had not felt before
And you'd swear those words could heal.
And as I looked up into those eyes
And I know he's no stranger,
For I feel I've held him for all of time.
Touch the stars for time will not flee.
Just a dream, just an ordinary dream.
And the boy, that ordinary boy
Or was it all in my head?
Did he asked if I would come along
But as I looked to the door,
I saw that boy standing there with a deal.
