Can I just say that I love how the men in my life seem to fall into 2 major categories: the ones who respond to me getting anon hate with biting sarcasm and derision (Phlux & mehuric), and the ones who respond with threats/wishes of violence to be done upon the haters (obviously elliondrk & taimproblem).

I get migraines a lot and my go to thing is icing the base of my skull and sleep. I also take Ibprofen because per my neurologist, that's supposed to help stop the cycle. I really hope you feel better because migraines are terrible!

Sleeping in total darkness with a damp/wet cold cloth over the eyes tends to help me a lot

Thanks much, guys. I ended up laying down in a dark, cool room, with a cold washcloth over my eyes & forehead, after taking some naproxen and drinking something caffeinated. At this point I'm wearing my sunglasses at night, to make the nausea-inducing beams of light from the screen a little less potent, and I'm doing better. I'm not 100%, but I can move without wanting to hurl and I don't feel like I'm going to fall over unless I bend over such that my head is not perpendicular to the floor. Here's hoping I continue to improve at this rate, because damn do migraines suck.

So I've had a headache for the last couple days, and it seems to have completed its transformation sequence into a migraine. Right sided pain, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, dizziness. Heavy amounts of Vicodin have blunted the pain a bit, but not the other symptoms. I don't generally get migraines, so I'm rather at a loss here. What do I do for a migraine? Do I just try to sleep it off? Suffer until it goes away on its own? Help me out, Tumblr. cc: elliondrk, barcodeddna, anyone else who has experience with this they can offer?
