"And finally, from these powers, something good...."

Ok also… I know this is really stupid but I couldn’t help but think of this the entire time I was watching Wicked tonight. I haven’t watched Wicked since I saw Spn, and all I could think of the entire time is how much Sam would relate to Elphaba.

She had special powers her entire life that she was told made her strange and odd, powers she never asked for or wanted to use. In fact, she tried to suppress them. And her mother died when she was young and her father was stern and blamed her for it, making her feel unloved her entire childhood. Her sister is embarrassed and afriad of Elphaba’s powers and asks her to supress them, too. She never feels like she fits in anywhere. She never feels like she is good enough for her sister whom she loves so much.

Then finally when she goes to Oz, she finally feels like she does fit in. It’s a place where she can learn to use her talents for good and just when the Wizard encourages her to use a spell, telling her it will help Chistry, the monkey, that’s when she realizes —too late— that they were actually manipulating her and using her powers for evil to further their own evil plan for power and corruption. Her good intentions were used against her her by the powers that be. 

No matter what she does, her choices get twisted and thrown in her face. There is a literal witch hunt to track her down and punish her (like in Free to Be You and Me 5.03). Then, in the end, she has to sacrifice herself and her reputation and become the very thing she hates most in the eyes of the public in order for the good she had always worked to achieve to actually exist through Glinda. Glinda, who can never know that she actually survived. 

LIKE… Reread that and change Elphaba’s name to Sam and tweak just a few minor details and it’s LITERALLY SUPERNATURAL S1-5 (and a little bit of s6). 

I’m so emotional about this idk!!!!!
