what i’ve been doing for da past who knows how long 😺 I deleted the tumblr app for storage and then COMPLETELY forgot it existed so I apologize to all my tumblr exclusive friends. I am. not the smartest DJAJXJSKXJMS but yea i’m a cake decorator at work now, i’m slowly slipping into a more heavily referenced style again so that’s not very poggers. I got in and out of a relationship uhhh. someone might be flirting with me rn? I can’t tell lol. they’re one of my co-worker’s siblings though so you know 😀 uhhhhh I have a mullet now, and my hair is blonde and pink again. yea we’ve been kinda chillin

They had noticed it all of a sudden one day- they were fighting off the dead and Percy's hair kept getting in his eyes, not being able to hold it back was frustrating.
Elton noticed.
"Do you want me to cut it for you?" He asked while they settled down for the night in an abandoned house.
"I'm sure its fine." Percy shook his head
"No, really. It will help us if you keep it shorter. We don't want you getting hurt because of it." Elton joked and Percy sat there considering it.
"Alright, but only a trim. Don't make me go fucking bald, alright?"
Elton nodded and grabbed a small pocket knife from his bag and sat in front of Percy so their knee's were touching.
"I have to be honest, I'm not really qualified in this field." He hesitated making the first mark, scared it would look bad so he kept grabbing different strands and examining the length and where he should cut.
"Elton, its fine. If it looks bad it'll grow back. It'll give us something to laugh at for the next two weeks." Percy reassured.
Elton ran his hands through Percy's hair again, flattening it down as much as he can before grabbing a strand and carefully cutting it off with the dull knife; it fell to the floor next to their legs.
Elton was hyperfocused on trying to not mess up, and Percy just looked up at him, examining his face silently.
"How's your shoulder?" He asked quietly
"Better, thanks to you doc."
It was silent once again, Elton continuously moving strands and examining his work.
Percy stayed still- no one had never been this close and gentle with him before. Sure, there were other kids his age at the towns him and his uncle tony visited and performed at- while it was mainly girls and they usually only kissed once or talked for a day until they left, this was different.
Elton made him feel different, in moments like these.
Where his hand is touching his hair sk gently, when he's taking care of him in the ways he can, helping him with his shoulder and watching his back while on the road.
Percy's thoughts were interrupted by Elton moving back a little, retracting his hands
"Alright, all done." Elton smiled, he broke the moment by getting up to put the knife away, so Percy walked over to the old bathroom mirror down the hall.
Wiping the dust away to see his reflection, his hair looked....actually pretty good. It wasnt a massive change, and yeah it looked a little choppy, but Elton had been so gentle and cared so much about making it look good that Percy was happy.
Percy ruffled it around and Elton came and stood next to him.
"Well, do you like it?" He eagerly asked
"Yeah, it's pretty good for a newbie." Percy smiled and looked at him-
And Elton smiled back even wider.
sorry im gay but world beyond headcannon that while percy and elton were on the road looking for them and shit they share clothes and elton helped percy cut his hair and i will be writing about this later
Elton is like a little Spencer Reid- definitely neurodivergent and fruity as hell (plus they both dress like little fancy men)
okay another rant- so from the trailer we can tell elton and percy have been traveling for quite some time since Percys shoulder is healed and he is rocking that sexy i mean uh cool looking beard/stubble- im so scared hes gonna die but god
