"Ah, well. I've only just met you, yes? Professionally speaking, hate is for a spoiled taste of wine or unaddressed deliveries, not a new face." The Courier's tone hinted at a playful candidness. "Now, I can't completely say the same for your delivery. He was grinding on my nerves. I am sorry to say that the long dead can't be suffocated into silence, try as one might."

"Damn straight!" replied the muffled voice from the waiting hat box. Safrona inhaled softly with the patience of a world-worn saint, and continued as if she had heard nothing at all.

"I do love that your establishment is situated in the corner of Boralus. I don't get nearly enough contracts in this particular part of the world anymore, so it was a refreshing change to be sent to you." Safrona paused in her casual stride of 'Curses and Curios' to eye the Ethereal walking up from cellar stairs a little intently, and then glanced back at Eluvianna. "I'm inclined to think we might have some aligning interests..."

Fully turning then, she gestured invitingly to the parcel she had been hired to deliver to Lady Umbralstar. "But on to first business, first, yes? I'll let you do the honors here. I'd suggest a temporary banishment just to force the thing into silence as you inspect it - only if you give me that permission, of course."

"I'd be interested in having your voice inscribed to one of my own chatterstones, if you'll permit me this too." Slipping her own fingers into the confines of an elegant messenger bag latched to her side, the Courier produced a small crystal cluster and a nearly mirrored piece of arcanotech, obviously of Ethereal make. With a glide of her fingers the device extended into a screen with holographic information, cradled in her forearm like a sleek clipboard. "I'd hate to miss out on other....shall we say opportunities, to discuss with you? I imagine your world gets as busy as mine."

Daily Writing Challenge Day 6

Dear Eluvianna,

I didn’t know what to expect when Captain Trueflame had asked me to join in on her mission but I was glad to have the chance at seeing you again. And I did. I saw you in a different light than when I had met you. My uncle would say; “If you want to get to know someone? Fight with them”. I feel like I learned a lot about you when we delved into the Skittering Breach. Just in case you need to hear it, I feel like it needs to be said. Or read in this case, right? You showed a great deal of care and selflessness when we were going up against that ascended Nerubian. We were on the same page about helping the others out and when you signaled for me to go it was like we were in harmony. A silent understanding that I feel is a rare thing.

You put your body on the line in an immense show of bravery. I know you were buying us all time to escape. It’s something I would have done too. Without hesitation. It’s really nice to see you up on your feet again, by the way. You showed a resolve that I’ve seen in some of the most veteran knights around me. 

And now we’re on this journey together. Another mission for Trueflame and I can honestly understand why she had asked you to help her in the first place. If we encounter anything on the way back to the surface, I want you to know that you can count on me. I have a feeling that we can overcome just about anything together.
